In the past 3 weeks, Derek Jeter passed 2 fairly significant milestones: most hits by a shortstop in mlb history, followed by most hits for his team. I wonder, as achieves greater milestones, will the cry of “over rated” continue? The great knock on him has always been his lack of range, which certainly merits consideration, but in the grand scheme of things, it is a minor flaw in an otherwise stellar career.
