I gotten to the point where a political thread just doesn’t really seem a political thread until Lobohan has called someone stupid in it.
It’s one trick, although he’s more nag than pony, but whatever.

No argument from this conservative on that call! The only reason I kept reading that thread was because it was amusing watching both side’s idiots hammer each other. ![]()
It is one trick, but I have a repertoire of several.
Also, if the conservadopers would stop arguing things that were actually stupid, I’d stop with the pointing it out. ![]()
Actually, the difference is that Shodan doesn’t use a goddamn smilie in every post.
Lobohan, you are one of the most irirtating and worthless posters to this board. Go gargle a colostomy bag. ![]()

I’m both complimented and insulted that I don’t show up in that sentence. Guess I gotta do more bloviatin’.
I’m going to start saying that here.
All the time.
With those exact smileys.
And that exact spacing.
All. The. Time.
Increasing bloviating time would be highly dangerous-if you don’t take at least a little time to inhale and exhale, you’ll die.
I saw a lot of sophistry from the resident conservatives about how our flawed perceptions may be only making it appear as though Fox News Channel is an infomercial for the Republican Party.
I’d like to do an experiment: Recruit a few hundred people who don’t give a flying fuck about politics, one way or the other. This should take care of the Confirmation Bias problem. Separate them into several groups, each group is assigned to Fox News, MSNBC, CBS, NPR, etc. Make them watch 24 hours of footage from each channel. Arm them with a questionaire that they fill out every hour.
“Did the broadcast give you a favorable or unfavorable impression of the Democratic Party? If so, how would you rate this favorability on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being extremely unfavorable, 5 being neutral (neither positive nor negative), and 10 being extremely favorable.” Ditto with questions about the Republicans.
I’d wager a million bucks that the studies would show that Fox News skews considerably more to the Right than any other mainstream broadcast station skews to the Left.
