Where annoying dingbat stands for whatever unique flavour of snowflaky pseudophilosopher you perceive yourself as. Now wasn’t that a delightful improvement to the world of communication?
I dunno…a good flame is a good flame, even when it’s not burning the whole world down. I like it.
Also, I used to play keys for Snowflaky Pseudophilosopher in the 90s.
I sort of like him because: (a) he takes great offense when I saw that most British newspapers practice poor journalism, and (b) he had a thread where he argued that it’s natural for stoners to sit on the couch all day and get baked because the runner’s high might be related to cannabinoids. That was funny.
Well, many scientific subjects that I see do trample more over the toes of right wingers, but I also see it happening with leftists that follow woo. An ignorant that agrees with the left is still an ignorant.
Now that was dumb, in the thread the OP links Mr. Typo avoids all questions and ignores the requests for cites, and then he claims that others are suffering from illusory superiority.
He is the one making credits for his Dunning-Kruger award.
The Guardian does occasionally produce some spectacularly good journalism. Quite a lot of “less spectacular” stuff too, and of course the busiest Corrections and Clarifications editor in the business.
Raving lunacy is tiresome, but generally harmless. Raving lunacy surrounded by an indestructible shell of certainty that your lunacy is in every way superior to actual rational thought and hard evidence is dangerous.
