First off, I hope no one is seriously injured and there is no loss of life.
That said, this is hilarious. #Dumbkirk is trending on Twitter.
It also works on a lot of levels.
For example it could be a metaphor for the Trump campaign’s penchant for being the cause of its own problems.
Or it’s a metaphor for late stage capitalism because the bigger boats are swamping the smaller boats.
No matter how you look at it, it’s pretty amusing.
I’m surprised it took the lunatics this long.

What gave it away, the thousands lining the shore and stirring up waves cleverly disguised as boat wakes?
All those Tweets about a blue wave are part of this antifa conspiracy I’ll wager.

Well, the likelihood goes up dramatically when you realize that they were all driven by Trump supporters, all of whom knew they were the best captains ever and naturally had the right of way.

Don’t these dumb shits realize Antifa don’t even got no navy?

I was assuming the problem was insufficient maintenance.

That was my thought too as boating season would have begun during lockdown and many owners may have skipped it.
I hate Trump but I’m a boating safety advocate and I can’t get my joys off boats sinking. I can assume that alcohol is also a factor.
Every white, middle-aged man for himself!

It is comical that boats sunk, but they sunk because there were so many boats out there to support Trump that it created choppy conditions. I doubt if any Democratic president would have had the same kind of support.

I assume until demonstrated otherwise that alcohol is a major factor.
That was a scarily accurate impression of a Trump supporter. Bravo.

Leave to Republicans to have a rally by people who can afford boats, amirite?
From here.
The Facebook page for the event said that “boats of all shapes and sizes are encouraged to participate.”
“Decorate your boats in patriotic colors and fly as many Trump flags as she can handle,” it continued. “Let’s really make a statement!”
Somehow, I doubt that was the statement they meant to make.

Snowboarder_Bo:
Loved this one:
Life vests are for wimpy losers. I prefer boaters who don’t drown.
Losers! I like boats that don’t sink.

I don’t know why everyone is making such a big deal of this. The boats that sunk were all old with preexisting conditions.
