I was very close to trying to save Hawkeyeop, but if I cure, I can’t investigate. I opted to investigate while so many items are in the Hoard. Especially the ones that mess with investigations.
The Orb and my cure are functionally equivalent (per Pleonast). My understanding is either would shift the probability from 1/6 to 3/6.
That’s really weird. Darth Sensitive DID have the Staff of Command. I wonder why he didn’t use it.
Also, weird. Chucara had zero items. He must have given it to someone.

That’s what I thought, but that’s not what MHaye said.

Not necessarily - it could have been blown into the Hoard last Turn.
On another note, my action was to Detect Magic on Zsofia, who earlier claimed to have the [Something] of Telekenesis. Since she claimed Chaotic with an item that can filch things, I figured I would test her out - if she had more than one item, it would indicate 1. She was lying; 2. She was probably trying for a Chaotic win, rather than cooperating with a Lawful win. The result was that I Detected one Magic Item on her, so that’s a minor plus in her column (IMO).
That’s correct but (as per the rules) the Orb started with 1-2 charges. So there was a 50% chance that the dice were tossed with no improvement from the Orb.
Chance of the Orb being uncharged and hawk living : 1 in 12.
Chance of the Orb having 1 charge and Hawk living : 3 in 12.
Because the Orb is either charged or not charged, the two chances simply add giving four in twelve, or one-third.
Sorry Hawk. I tried.
Oh, and the Orb is now useless without someone to recharge it. I won’t be healing Curses this Turn.
I expected the Staff of Command to wreak major havoc on our information. But we’ve had three investigations lead us to Three Evil. Not exactly confusing the crap out of the Town in my estimation.
Oh yeah. I forgot about that. I still have my item. And we never really did a full trace of where everything is/was/or should be.
My investigation failed.
MHaye, I’m the only one left who can recharge it, but that would require being deCursified by sach, of course.

There are either one or two Evil left, with the odds in favor of only one. So it’s probably 5-1, but might be 4-2. Getting close to the endgame, folks.

And we are back to basics for this Turn. That’s alot of re-reading. The Turns are much easier when investigations don’t fail.
Did anyone see anything interesting during the Turn? Someone swiped the Helm of Empathy. I’m wondering who. My assumption is Scum did it. I also assume that the action was to specifically take the Helm instead of “any.” My thinking is that there are so many items in the Hoard, that targeting a specific item makes more sense to get something “worthwhile.” I might be mistaken.
Sinjin did not take the Helm. Sinjin stated she would drop a speed potion, and a speed potion appeared in the Hoard.
Zsofia did not take the Helm. Zsofia stated she had a something of telekinesis and this item is now in the Hoard. Unlike sinjin Zsofia did not explicitly state she was dropping the Telekinesis item. But it’s appearance indicates that Zsofia did not take the Helm. Otherwise I don’t see how the telekinesis item showed up in the Hoard.
I investigated, so I did not take the Helm, but you don’t know that since I’m reporting a failed investigation. However, taking the Helm is a silly thing for me to do since I’m the investigator and I don’t need to obscure my alignment from myself.
ShadowFacts claims to have detected magic on Zsofia. The results are consistent with expectation so there is no reason to believe or not believe ShadowFacts (neutral)
MHaye claims to have used the Orb of Healing on Hawkeyeop.
Squid hasn’t said anything and there is no indication of what Squid did this turn.
If you are Town, and you possess the Helm, you should state so now and explain your actions.
Otherwise my conclusions are as follows:
Sinjin: Good
Zsofia: Good
Me: Good (turned in Hockey Monkey and Chucara)
ShadowFacts: Good (turned in Darth Sensitive)
MHaye: Claims to have Orbed Squid and Squid lived.
Squid: Curse Survivor (Good). Only Curse Survivor (Bad). Makes sense as a target for Evil if he is Good. Makes less sense as a target for Evil if he is Evil.
Damn, there are reasons to think everyone is Good.
But my top suspect is MHaye.
I can confirm that you failed to use magic on her, and that Shadow succeeded.
ZSofia, you want to tell everyone what I saw -you- do? Or shall I?
I don’t think it makes sense to try and revive the Orb. It would take one Turn to pass it to you. One Turn for you to recharge it. By then we should be at the end of the game right? I’ll sit down and do the math later. The delayed Cursed effect thing messes up my thinking.
Unless I can determine where the Helm is, I don’t see the point in investigating this Turn. Oh, I just thought of something.
Sinjin could have dropped her item AND picked up an item. She can do more than one action each Turn. But the probability of success is quite low right?
I suppose Zsofia would be a safe investigation target. She clearly did not pick up the Helm as she dropped the telekinesis thingy.

If it’s “she did a successful physical interaction with the Hoard.” I’m not interested. Dropping and stealing are not discernable by watching.
