Notes:
I see now that Zsofia also targetted Hawkeyeop on Turn One. Zsofia, was Hawkeyeop invisible during Turn One?
Well, I definitely considered re-taking the Ring of Limited Wishes back from the Hoard after it was blown in there. (Note: this is Turn Three, not Two). But after realizing how difficult that was, and then adding on the extra time it would have taken me to recharge it, I opted not to. Nonetheless, I definitely would have considered it pro-Town to do so.
I think one thing to consider about taking items from the Hoard is how difficult it is to get a specific item. There is a base Low chance to get any specific item. So, unless you have some class or race abilities that increase your physical abilities, the chances of actually picking up a specific item are pretty slim.
The fact that the Helm got picked up this last Turn is, IMO, either an unlucky (for us) random grab, a very unlucky (for us) specific grab, or was done by someone who is better at physical stuff. I think a look at who has what abilities might be in order.
Not as far as I know. The reading I got back looked exactly the same as what I got for Darth, except for the actual alignment, of course. No mention of invisibility.

It occurs to me after reading some of the above posts that people really need to start dropping items into the Hoard! Odds are we have one Evil left, and if we’re lucky we might Disintegrate them this Turn. Anyone with an item left in hand seals the win for Chaotic. Time to start divesting ourselves, methinks, yes?
Good MHaye will have 2 Items this Turn, Evil MHaye will have 3.
There can be no FRAMING in this situation.
Squid is the only person who can push an item onto MHaye
ShadowFacts detect magic resolves simultaneously with the push and will report the number BEFORE other actions resolve completely. So if MHaye had 2 items and Squid pushed an item onto his and ShadowFacts detected magic on him, ShadowFacts would get a result of 2 not 3.
I’m rapidly coming to the conclusion that MHaye is Evil.
I have a PM into Pleonast about the Ring of Invisibility. All other “clothing” type items are passive. So that possession constitutes automatic activation.
Amulet: “While you possess this magic item,”
Cloak: “When you use this magic item”
I asked about these and Pleonast said they are both passive despite the wording.
Ring of Invisibility: “Each time you use this magic item,” is different verbiage, so I need to double check.
My conclusion about MHaye hinges on this information.
The Ring of Invisibility is an Active item (per Pleonast). My theory, which would have definitively pointed to MHaye being scum assumed the Ring was Passive.
I’m going to take a break and you know, do work for a bit. I need to re-group.
Anyone else want to take a stab at figuring out who we should zap this Turn? I’m willing to die this turn in a mass kill, “I’m impatient and I want the answers NOW!” move. This is a crazy move, but I’d be willing because it seems so decadent, and I’m almost sure it will result in a Win.
Kill: me, MHaye, sinjin, and Squid.
Lives: Zsofia
Maybe lives: Shadowfacts.
Hell, we could just kill off ShadowFacts too! Then we are assured a win! And we get all those pesky items into the Hoard!
(That is, if you all agree with me that Zsofia, clearly not picking up the Helm equals Zsofia is Good; if not, nevermind).
And Zsofia gets to win too since she lives and has no items!
And we don’t even have to worry about unvotes because whoever is Evil would only be able to save a Townie.
I know you all weren’t thrilled by my “Nuclear Option*” idea from before, and I understand why. It’s a shitty way to win the game, but also kind of cool.
This multi-kill lynch power is way way overpowered! Let’s abuse it!
*Note, I called it the Nuclear Option for a reason.
I’m buying that there’s only one evil Character. This game would have ended earlier if there hadbeen five to start with, as Evil characters wouldn’t have voted for Hockey (like Darth did) if we were at LyLo. That was obviously part of a ploy that counted on the game going on beyond that Turn.
I’m very convinced that Zsofia is Chaotic Good, and doesn’t have any extra items. And I love the nuclear option, in general.
But, is it a last desperate million-to-one shot (which we know is guaranteed to work) or is it only a thousand-to one (the odds against one of those succeeding being millions to one at least)? If it’s a dead cert, you’re handing the enemy team the win.
There is only one major problem with the Nuclear Option that I can think of so far: trusting Zsofia. If **Zsofia **wanted, she could try to pick up an item from the Hoard this Turn, which would destroy the Lawful win condition, handing her and her alone with the win.
All this assumes that everyone goes along with the plan, of course, which is another problem, but one that might be solvable.
And in case it wasn’t obvious from my post above about putting items in the Hoard, I am Lawful Good, so I don’t mind dying, but I don’t want to give the win away in the process.
From the rules: “The game ends when any character meets both of their victory conditions.”
The disintegration occurs before Turn Actions, therefore the Lawful Good and Chaotic Good win conditions will be met prior to Zsofia picking up any items this Turn.
Furthermore, I have little reason to think Zsofia will pick up an item just to screw with us. She’s not Hockey Monkey, and she has without pressure, claimed Chaotic and dropped her item.
If you are so afraid of Zsofia and her Chaotic win condition, then you have to kill her. You can’t be sure she won’t pick up an item during any game deciding Turn. In other words, even if Zsofia picking something up this Turn would muck things up (The rules state it doesn’t), then the same case would be true whether we go nuclear or not. And the same case would be true if the game goes to the next Turn. You are implicitly arguing to kill Zsofia.
We either accept that Zsofia is not trying to screw us or we don’t. I feel Zsofia’s Chaotic status is an argument FOR going nuclear. We know she is empty handed now. End the game this Turn by disintegrating everyone and we know the Lawful Good win condition is met before Zsofia can pick up anything.
We should decide Yay or Nay on the nuclear option as soon as possible. If we aren’t going to do it, we need to figure out who to kill. I’d rather try and figure that out with more time rather than less. So not to pressure, but we are on the clock.
