Mundane dream cars...

Hey Coldie! If you liked the Interceptor, I’ve got to ask if you ever made acquaintance with a Jensen Healey. A friend of mine had one around the same time I had the GT-6. Very cool wheels (and British, so ownership included automotive mechanic training).

I like the Jensen Healey too. It’s just that I have this soft spot for these early 70’s WAAAAY over-the-top sportscars. Like the Ferrari 512 BB, and the Interceptor. The Countach (the original one, thank you!) comes to mind as well.

And, dare I say it, even though it’s earlier: the Corvette Stingray. Now THAT was an American sportcar!! Where did they go from there? Downhill, if you ask me.

Honda Insite gas-electric hybrid 70 mpg and ultra low emmisions. What I realy want is my old 1981 Honda civic station wagon back. 30mpg. Reliable as a rock. Would go places that would scare a goat. Roomy for a small car. Two people could sleep in the back, with the seat folded down. Damn I miss that car.

A dark blue Lada Niva 1600 with a big fat white stripe.

Yum.

I would want free bus/metro passes for whatever city i’d happen to be in for the rest of my life.

Plenty of good responses here, suppose I will add.

Numero Uno, completely stock , #'s matching 1969 RoadRunner Hemi, Jamaica Blue with deluxe trim package (Hood stripes, etc). I am currently saving up for this beast, expecting to pay 35k plus…not a lot, but high for a car that will never be driven in the rain or snow (I live in MN, that means approx 2 weeks in August). I wiull probably crack and settle for a 383 for about a third of the price. Other nice rides…

I don’t want your love,
I don’t want your money,
I just want the keys to your Ferrari.

I have a '69 MGB-GT that was my daily driver for years. Lots of fun and just not the sort of thing you see every day.

I don’t know if I’ll ever take the plunge to buy a true classic car, but there are some I just want to see at least once. For a few years it was a Ford GT-40, then I went to a vintage race that had two of them. I’m still looking for a Lamborghini Miura and a Ferrari 250LM.

I have my dream car…see sig.
