Muscle Car Master Carroll Shelby: dead at 89

too late to edit:
Evidence of this is the fact that none were ever turned into race cars. This should say a road-racer. I’m sure someone campaigned a drag racer.

And also that Jack Roush is an equally important figure in Ford’s motorsports history and isn’t idolized in the same way because he doesn’t seek praise.

Sorry, pal, but you have already blown your credibility and shown yourself to be one who just likes to stir the shit – in this case, thread shit.

So long Shel. You put the muscle in muscle cars, and we are grateful.

Same basic design except in coupe form. Point is: why get on my case for mentioning his connection to the GT40?

I owned two 1989 Dodge Shelby Daytonas that I loved and now miss. I doubt Carroll had much to do with them but they were pretty cool cars.

Appropriately named “Goes-Like-Hell”, this Dodge Omni was created with Carroll Shelby’s company. All examples of the GLH-S were built by Dodge and shipped to Shelby Automobiles for modification.

If he went out the way Jalopnik alleges, then it was probably all worth it
