The other day, I recognized a song at the end of a Sopranos episode (I hadn’t actually been watching it…I walked in while someone else was watching it on tape, in the last few minutes). I have had this song deeply ingrained in my memory for years now, and because I could not remember where I had heard it and the song doesn’t have lyrics (I’m not certain if song is the proper term, actually, but it will have to do until I can think of a better one) I had no way of discovering what it was called or anything about it. So, I ask, what is the name of the song at the very end of what I believe is the sixth episode of the Sopranos, when pictures are being pinned to a bulletin board type thing and names are being written beneath them?
Paparazzi, by Xzibit.
Thank you. This leaves me with seemingly one remaining question: did Xzibit borrow the background music from another source? I very rarely hear Xzibit’s sort of music but I’m almost certain I’ve heard the song before nonetheless. Perhaps a piece of classical music or an opera?
I read somewhere that Xzibit sometimes borrows melodies from classical music sources. I don’t recognize the melody from another source, however.
It sounds vaguely like it might be something from Bach, although I don’t any counterpoint, if that is the correct term.
I agree that the music is great, and I despise rap.
