Well, at the weekend, I managed to buy the record ‘Paranoid’ by Black Sabbath. It cost me 50 cents at a flea market. Babyboomers will understand.

No, I’m not publishing my list!
1011 songs. Who wants to see the list?
I have more than 100 CDs and more than 100 tapes. In the whole batch, there are only a few that I would sell, even if given half list price for. (To make things more interesting, let me tell you that one of them is “OK Computer”.)
I think I’ve close to 250 CDs and in addition to that around 500 MP3s that I don’t have physical copies of. They’re mostly random songs from artists who I wouldn’t by a whole CD of music from.
It also helps that I’m trying to compile a complete Radiohead and Weezer collection. Pretty close on the latter…
771 CDs. About half rock, half metal, with some other stuff at least represented. Nobody really wants me to publish the list, I’d think.
What – you hadn’t noticed?
I’ve got about half that. Same again (or a few more) LPs. I do not have a list and have no intention to slog through 500+ items taking stock.
How the flipping heck did/do you finance that?
I have somewhere between 700 and 800. Some metal, some rock, some grunge, some rap, some hip-hop, some classical, some electronica, some world, some miscellaneous. I have listened to every single one of them at one point or another. I can never understand people who own albums they haven’t listened to. I just can’t fathom that.
This past weekend I started copying all our CD’s to disk, in preparation for making a copy for each fof us, and keeping the original master copy safe from scratches.
Man! We have a lot, but not even close to 542. Maybe 100-150. Classic rock, country, and blues.
I don’t have any children, I don’t drink or have a drug habit, and I don’t own a car (so I don’t have to feed it or fix it or insure it). That frees up a bunch of spending money right there! Besides, I got a head start- I began collecting in 1963.
We’re not going to count the thousands of records that got stolen on five different occasions in the past.
I do plan on listening to the ones I haven’t listened to… just didn’t find the time yet but still I wanted the music.
Did I say 542? It’s 560 now 
So that’s why I haven’t listened to everything, it just keeps growing too fast lately.
I just counted and got 49, but I could easily be off slightly. One of them, I just got and haven’t opened yet. There’s only one band that I own 3 CDs from. All other bands/artists, I only have 1 or 2.
I have about a 100, and then mebbe a thousand or so MP3s, about half of which have been ripped from my cds.
Just finished ripping my CDs, but the machine they’re on is at home so I don’t have precise counts, but around 830 CDs, translating to about 11,000 MP3s. I’ve listened to probably 98% at least once.
