Music title trifectas

Where the song title, album title, and artist name are all identical. This is something relatively rare and I’m curious how many there really are. How many can you name?

The song title goes in double quote marks, the album title is italicized, and the artist name is neither.

To start off:

Bad Company” by Bad Company, from Bad Company
Thunderpussy” by Thunderpussy, from Thunderpussy

I know there must be more. There’s at least one more I can’t remember right now.

I started a thread like this several years ago, and it pops up as a zombie every so often. I don’t have time to search for it now but I’ll try to post a link later if someone else doesn’t beat me to it.

I remember being 12, watching MTV, and noticing the video for “Talk Talk,” by Talk Talk, on the album Talk Talk. The album part was disputed in Shoeless’s thread, but that’s how MTV displayed it at the start and end of the video.

“Bo Diddley,” by Bo Diddley, from Bo Diddley.

This may be cheating a bit, since the album Bo Diddley, released in 1958, was a compilation album, collecting several of Diddley’s songs that had originally been released as singles. The song “Bo Diddley” had first been released in 1955. But it is included on Bo Diddley the album, and performed by Bo Diddley the singer.

As a bonus, that album also includes another song called “Hey! Bo Diddley.” And that’s not even counting the song “Diddley Daddy.” Guy really liked his name.

“Black Sabbath” by Black Sabbath, from the album Black Sabbath.
"Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden, from the album Iron Maiden.
“Motörhead” by Motörhead, from the album Motörhead.

Do parenthesis count?

“(Theme from) The Monkees”, by The Monkees, from The Monkees

“Focus” by Focus on Focus Plays Focus for the Pick Four. Focus had a bunch of songs and albums called “Focus” (though numbered)

“Mandrill” by Mandrill from their debut album Mandrill.

Closest unmentioned one I can think of is Who Are You off of Who Are You by The Who.

According to wiki, the album is ‘The Party’s Over.’

Icehouse’s first album is Icehouse, with a song titled Icehouse. I actually thought the song was closer to ‘No Love (Inside the Icehouse)’ but wiki disagrees.

Does the song have to be on the album of the same name?

I would say yes, it does.

“Take Me Back to Chicago” by Chicago, on Chicago XI.

Thanks Waldo!

Do I get a prize for a very near miss?

I forgot the champion.

Yellow Balloon” by Yellow Balloon and their album Yellow Balloon. The B side of the single version was “Noollab Wolley,” covering all bases.

That fits, I think.

That’s the one I was trying to remember, thanks!

Yes, that works, I think.

Yes.

You get credit, it’s close enough!

Going for extra credit! I love it.

I vaguely thought I remembered that, but wasn’t sure, and couldn’t think of good enough search terms to find it.

When Thunderpussy came out the other day, it reminded me I’d wanted to do this thread.
