Music video where a girl gets a tattoo at the end?

I was recently transported back to a moment in time when I was probably around 10 years old, possibly even younger, and I was with a friend of mine in a local cafe where there is a TV that’s always on, and there was a music video on MTV. I can’t really remember much about the video except that a hot chick gets a tattoo at the very end of it. I think the closing shot of it was her getting the tattoo. Does anyone have any idea what I saw?

Cryin’ by Aerosmith?

That might very well be it. I just watched it on YouTube. Alicia Silverstone looks pretty hot in that video. The asshole boyfriend should have been played by Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs on Twin Peaks.)

When were you 10 years old?

  1. So I think I was probably 7 or 8 when I saw the video.

Could it be the Prodigy video “Smck my Btch up” quite a good song, if a blatant attempt to conjure up controversy for PR purposes. ()

She doesn’t get a tattoo at the end, but it features quite prominently (up till then your meant to assume the protagonist is a dude).

Just to toss something different in the ring, in the land of Canadia we had a video around that era (1994-1996-ish) by a band called Moist, and the song was “Believe Me”. I can’t find the video for the life of me, but in it, there is a girl who gets tattooed by Bif Naked, and toward the end the girl commits suicide, and Bif goes out and finishes the tattoo on her lifeless body. If I’m remembering it correctly… I remember Bif and the suicide, and tattoos.

I think that might be it. I recall the video as being a little more negative and dark than “Cryin’” but I’m looking back on this after more than a decade, so the memory might be a little fuzzy.

That’s one of those music videos where the video is better than the music.

That asshole boyfriend is Stephen Dorff.

You edit out the word “smack” for some reason and then link to a NSFW video without warning?

Anyway, yeah, for those not familiar with this video, it features several topless women, so you might want to avoid it if you’re at work.
