Music Videos That Tell A Story (With A Twist, so Spoilers Be Here)

I saw a music video(don’t remember the name of the video or the band) where the singer is following his girlfriend around singing to her and she is ignoring him, reading the paper, looking very angry and distracted, etc. She then gets in her car and drives off. He runs down the street after her just in time to see

his girlfriend’s car get hit crossing an intersection by an out-of-control driver. A mass of people forms around the accident and from the mass of people comes the ghost of the girl. She links arms with her dead boyfriend and they walk away as the camera goes back to the newspaper open to the article on the death of the boyfriend.

There is the recent Toby Keith video, the name of which escapes me, where he is singing to a woman while building a brick wall to ecase her in a basement (ala The Cask of Amantallado (sp?)). At the end of the video, she turns and walks up the stairs and he finds that he bricked himself in.

Not a great video, but it is a good thing that the twist was there, without it it woud have been horribly icky.

Fleetwood Macs “Everywhere”,the dashing cavalryman turns out NOT to be the heroines love but instead its the Adams Family type servant.

Huh? In the only video I know for that song the heroine’s love interest is a highwayman, and the cavalry are the villains. Is there another video for the song? Or maybe you’re thinking of another song?
