"Must catch moose and squirrel!"

Wrong hat.

He takes a 7½.

My favorite was when Natasha won the beauty contest… Boris says… last thing you got from judge was 30 days in jail!!

classic stuff… and now for something you’ll really enjoy…

Now here’s something you’ll really like!

ETA: ChicagoJeff, you may be correct.

Dang! I hate when I get ninja’d by a 2 year old zombie.

The proper line is “And now here’s something we hope you’ll really like!”

I can just see the scene at the OP’s house, 2 years ago:

“Tish, you’re speaking Russian!”

There was one episode where the cliffhanger was Boris getting a message from Fearless Leader saying “Kill Moose and Squirrel” with Rocky and Bullwinkle right outside. At the beginning of the next episode, Boris is ready with a bomb when the second half of the message comes through: “DO NOT kill Moose and Squirrel!” Of course, he then has to get rid of the bomb before it goes off.

They showed Rocky and Bullwinkle on Russian TV (STS) back in the late '90s; I used to watch it every afternoon with my daughter, who was four at the time. All of the dialogue had been dubbed into Russian with no attempt to sound like any of the original characters, and it simply was not funny (I’m sure they got many of the jokes wrong too, though I can’t remember any specific ones).

The same thing happened when they showed Looney Tunes, BTW. Pepe LePew is just not funny if he doesn’t sound like Charles Boyer.

How was Fractured Fairytales?

There’s a lovely Muscovite woman where I work, but it would never occur to me to ask her to do a “moose and squirrel” line. Largely because she doesn’t have a deep Natasha-like voice. Hers is more of a little-girl timbre (which is ADORABLE, btw), and would not sound natural saying the words.

The same. So was Dudley Do-Right, Aesop and His Son, Bullwinkle’s Corner, etc.

Only June Foray can say them convincingly.

The line that sticks in my mind is:

How can you screw up Fractured Fairytales? :dubious:
