I went to Xmen last night and I don’t know what all the hype was about. It was OK, but definitly not a video I would buy. I don’t think I would even go see it again. I don’t regret the money I paid to see it. (I actually had free passes) I think that the movie could have been a bit more intresting. I wasn’t hanging on the edger of my seat. I just sat there looking at the line of 12 people on either side of me, thinking “Now how am I going to get up to go pee?” Is there anyone out there who didn’t like X-men?
I gotta tell ya, your review of the movie confrims your status as an anosmic, and your willingness to stand by your opinion really cements my thoughts of you as an ageusiatic. Congrats!

Somebody here has word-of-the-day toilet paper…

I liked it.
It certainly wasn’t the non-stop action type of film I expected of it. But I thought it was interesting, and certainly a really good first step to a series. Introduced characters for people unfamiliar with the x-men… did a good job of showing characters for all the xmen, not just wolverine. Overall I enjoyed it.
Keep in mind… its not movie of the year type material, but I didn’t mind spending the money, and chowing on some popcorn viewing it. And also, I am not real familiar with the comic books, so I am by no means an xmen purist or anything.

Stuyguy:
What the fuck does that mean?
(Get your head out of your ass)
I thought it was great! And so did my wife who never read the comic.
Mr. Cynical,
What does “ageusiatic” mean? Merriam-Webster OnLine does not have it listed. “Anosmic” was in listed though. Got a similar word to match my sig?
Heh! I was being a lil’ punk, honestly.

I thought it was a great movie, though a bit slow, and low on climax. Great set up for part 2. My buddy thought the cyclops character was portrayed poorly, as in the comic he tended to take the moral high ground with Logan, and wouldn’t have added the “Stay away from my girl” line. He liked the “If I had to say that, she wouldn’t be my girl” line.
