“Is This Love” - Whitesnake
I cannot stop playing it. Loud. And singing along.
My shame is beyond description.

Mine is that rap song from Flo-rida.
Shorty got low, low, low, low, low. . .
It’s catchy. So catchy it verges on annoying because you hear it once, you’re hearing it all day in your head.
Quarashi- Payback.
I’d love to download it somewhere to put in on my iPod for when I work out. Has that angry-boy-with-a-strong-beat thing that I love working out to. And I’m always impressed by bands that can hold their own when English isn’t their native language. Now if only the original singer was still singing in the band, this song would probably give me an ear orgasm.
My tastes in music seem more eclectic than my friends’, so I can’t imagine sharing half of my stuff without getting some weird looks in return (granted, most of them are girls into the hippy dippy stuff whereas I fall along the lines of…somewhere else…) This would definitely qualify as a guilty pleasure for me.
Kid Rock. Almost everything from Rock and Roll Jesus.
That’s kind of odd - mine- for the last few months mind you - is Whitesnake’s Here I go again.
Never enjoyed it before, now I’m all over it.
MiM
Snow Patrol “Run”
I don’t usually go for Emo Angst, but that song got me totally.
The Puppini Sisters: Betcha Bottom Dollar.
Swing standards and a few slightly more recent titles reworked in Boogie-Woogie style.
Addictive stuff.
Mexican pop singer Cristian Castro. He’s got a beautiful voice, his songs are very over-the-top dramatic and I have no idea what the hell he’s saying, but he sounds great saying it. Here’s an example. The video’s awesomely bizarre.
My mom lived in Puerto Rico for a few years and she fell completely in love with the guy. We played some of his songs at her memorial service last August, and now I’m obsessively playing her CDs. But I feel really guilty about it. He’s so, um, extreme.
I like Nickelback.
“Girlfriend” by Avril Lavigne
I’ve been singing it at my boyfriend for the last few days. I think he’s starting to agree with the chorus.
“Whatever” by The Bastard Fairies.
Ugh. Our teenage daughter was playing that song over and over and over. She’s even insisted on buying Applebottom jeans because she already has the “boots with the fur”. I found that it’s an easy song on the guitar and started singing the acoustic version. Apparently teenagers don’t like that.
Mine would be country. The boyfriend is a proud redneck and has been blaring old country tunes the past few days. I’ve been listening to them when he’s not around…
Is your daughter turning around and giving her big booty a slap while she’s at it?
I shouldn’t call this song a guilty pleasure. I don’t know what it is. It’s catchy and I sing it and yet. . … Oh help me! It won’t go away!
My pleasure is a youtube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=KCtZz0Pn120. This is Steven Curtis Chapman’s wonderful “Fingerprints of God” set to an ultrasound of a 20-week old preborn boy. The ultrasound shows not only the “proof” the baby’s a boy, but also shows the heart, brain, etc.
Pleasure? Heck yeah. Guilty? Never.
Since I discovered Guitar Hero III I can’t get past Poison’s “Talk dirty to me”. I was young enough the first time it came around to not have noticed it, but WOW! Love it.
And another vote for that apple bottom jeans song.
My current guilty pleasure is Kimya Dawson, who many of you probably heard on the Juno soundtrack. She’s twee and folksy, two things I usually have no patience for, with occasionally juvenile, naive, silly lyrics and a breathless little-girl delivery. I go through phases where I think songs like “Loose Lips” and “I Like Giants” are cute and charming, and then I go through phases where I despise her entire sound and style, and despise myself for digging it. The jury is still out.
Agreed - great song, and a real gem among GH3’s abysmal list.
(Is this the way to) Amarillo sung by Tony Christie. It’s cheesy easy listening but I’ve been singing ever since I saw that video on Youtube of the British soldiers lip syncing it.
Jackson Browne’s The Load Out/Stay
I heard it on the radio a few weeks ago for the first time in many years and it’s been stuck in my head ever since. I’ve played it at least once a day since then. Such a great song.
