I don’t like blah colors like greige, gray, white, beige, tan.
I love turquoise. I have shots of it all over my house. If I could afford all new appliances in the 50s turquoise color, I’d buy them in a heartbeat. I also love all sorts of shades of green, red, yellow, blue, pink, and jewel tones.
Yes. We all like a colorful life. I have a red washer dryer and one of those Vintage looking red refrigerators.
But…for resale the next buyer/ person seeing your turquoise walls may be physically ill and dearly love pink and can’t un-see the turquoise and makes no offer.
This is why realtors want you to beige/grey up the house if you never plan on leaving, do you.
My painted ceilings upstairs are slightly pinky/beige. Because I believe it’s more restful in bedrooms. That just me.
When I die and they would like a whiter ceiling, it wouldn’t be a hard cover up.
As for green, my painted walls are very light sage-y green. It compliments almost anything you want to put with it.
Sadly my other favorite color, mustard yellow doesn’t pair all that well, unless you really squint. And so much of my other stuff kinda disguises it all. (Not to mention the humanity and all their personalities confusing things). So you don’t notice.
Beige, white, greys all have uses in the world of decor. Boring as they are.
Not true! I know quite a few people that don’t care for color. They don’t like to wear color, wearing only black or gray. Their homes are white, gray and/or beige. My aunt is one of them. I always tease her and tell her to get some color into her life!
