I saw Rufus Wainwright perform My Funny Valentine on Letterman this past Valentine’s Day (I believe his mother was on piano). It’s a wonderful song, and I love Wainwright’s voice. Does anyone know if he has put this on any of his albums, or if he plans to?
I have no idea. However there is an Official Rufus Wainwright site, where you could make contact with him and ask him (via e-mail), or even join his message board and talk about it there.
I don’t mean to imply that you’re not welcome to discuss it here on the SDMB, of course. Just if you don’t have any luck, here’s another resource. FWIW, I did check his output at the Tower Records site, as well as cross-searching Google on “Rufus Wainwright” and “My Funny Valentine”, but I came up empty on any recordings.
