My grandmother is dying of cancer.

My condolances. Sending supporting thoughts your way.

Wise, wise words, obviously from someone who has been through profound grieving herself and knows what she’s talking about. Take this advice to heart, Airman Doors—it will make a painful time in your life a little less difficult. I know what I’m talking about. Oh boy, do I know. So please remember this advice and don’t push yourself to keep to some timetable of grieving. And most importantly, don’t let anyone else try to tell you that you are somehow not grieving enough, are grieving too much, or just not doing it right. There is no “right” way—just your way.

Take it easy, my friend. I can’t repeat that enough either.

Indeed. It sounds like she had much to be grateful for in her life, and had many blessings.

My prayers go out to you, and that you will feel God’s comfort during this sad time.

I only wanted to help you out of the drunk, depressed, selfish way of mind. I think incredibly highly of you, and was just trying to bring your mind around to the wonderful things in your life. I hope that I was not to harsh, and wish the best for you and your family.

Just wish to add my condolences. You’re still lucky though. Sounds like you got a lot of love hanging around you. Enjoy !

Airman, MsRobyn - There are no words; there is no all better. But there is love: remember hers and depend on yours.

Airman, imagine my father’s pain, helplessness, and hopelessness this last January when my two-year-old niece - his granddaughter - died in a hospital due to her injuries from a car accident. He is a doctor, and still could do nothing.

Indeed, I’m currently in a post-baccalaureate nursing program partially because of my own feelings of helplessness last January, but I’m thinking of withdrawing. Regardless of how much I want to save Hannah, I can’t, and I really don’t think I’m a nurse.

We all struggle to find what we’re good at, what we’re best at, and how we can use it to make our corners better. Good luck to you and strength in your own search.

You & your family are in my thoughts.
