My Hero (1944 - 2026)

Atta boy! That’s the best news I’ve read in several days.

Condolences on your loss and so close to fathers day too. My father died 50 years ago next month. Be mindful of the fact that even as the time advances, your great memories of his life will stay with you forever.

Are you (and your mom) getting enough to eat?

That can get neglected in these times. Be sure to take care of yourself.

Funny you should ask. I don’t have much of an appetite and my mom is pushing food on me left and right - we’ve gotten so many care packages. I’m eating, but I just don’t feel like stuffing my face right now.

So sorry for your loss. Those memories of your dad you shared were wonderful - he sounds like someone that was great to be around.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My dad has been gone two years now. I miss him everyday, but I also try to appreciate the time that we had together. So many mixed emotions with the ones that we love. I hope that you find peace and comfort in the days to come.

I’m so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful dad; what a blessing he must have been.

Honestly, I’m jealous. Reading such a warm and genuine account of your father’s life and your relationship with him mostly just reminds me that “hero” was most certainly not the word that came to mind when my own father died a few years ago. I would tell you how lucky you are, but I have a feeling that you already know that.

Thanks, Snooooopy. I do know that. He was the best.
