My husband was attacked last night...
I saw an episode of CSI recently where there were groups of teenagers roaming around Vegas beating up random tourists. They called if “fanny smacking” (because tourists wear fanny-packs).
I just saw this episode, at first I thought it was just silly and then I was just so angry at the kids doing it. Now I literally shaking with anger at these savages.

How can they close the case if they haven’t found who did it?

Fucking hell.

Bad enough when this shit is done to steal money, but when it’s just for cheap fucked-up thrills…

To a fellow Hoosier, I wish both you and IndyGuy a peaceful journey ahead. That’s some scarrrry stuff.

Why would the World Wildlife Federation cause such an effect? I think you meant the WWE.
Not sure if you were trying to be funny, or sarcastic, or if you just didn’t know, but the WWE used to be called the WWF…World Wrestling Federation.

Careful, friend Zebra. It’s important not to get so upset at a work of fiction.

Words to live by.

“If it scares you to read that one imaginary person killed another, why not take up knitting instead of reading?” - Edgar Allan Poe.

So sorry to hear about this senseless assault. How terrible! I’m sending warm ‘n’ fuzzies your and your husband’s way. Keep your chin up and be sure to fully cooperate with the police and/or prosecutor when/if they catch these punks.

Is the point of entertaiment is to make you feel stuff. If you’re just going to watch or read and sit there going ho-hum that’s fine, but I prefer a more intense expierence.

But not so intense as **Indygrrl ** and her husband.

Definately one of the more disturbing things I’ve heard of in awhile. I’m so sorry that happened to your husband (yours too, ivylass). That kind of wanton violence I find simply incomprehensible.

Just curious, The King of Soup … I’m getting a vibe that you don’t believe Indygrrl’s husband was actually attacked. Is that the case, or is my sarcasm-meter out of whack again?

I think he was referring to my watching of CSI.
I hope he was.

Could be. That post, though, combined with his earlier in this thread, makes me wonder.

Wouldn’t be the first time today I was wrong about something, though.

I would be stunned to discover that **TKOS **was calling bullshit on the OP. Not that he won’t call shit when he steps in it, but he’s not the kind of guy to risk hurting someone’s feelings without being damned sure of the situation.

Sure seems like he’s dancing around it. Indygirl answered his first post in this thread, which certainly I certainly read to have a backhanded sarcastic tone to it, as though it was meant sincerely, which is more than I would have done.

Best wishes to you and your husband Indygrrl. Is he feeling any better today?

I don’t have much to add here except I’m so sorry that you’ve suffered from such senseless violence. My wishes to you and your family for a speedy recovery, and above all, for justice.

Listen, if you don’t believe her, that’s fine. At this point, however, most of what I’m seeing is you jumping in this thread to take a not-so-witty dump. If you truly doubt what she’s saying, then feel free to air your feelings in a Pit thread and stay out of this one.
That so totally sucks, Indy.

Too bad when they came at him he couldn’t have pulled a “But this is not my dog” as Fido went all Cujo on them! (Sometimes a little humor helps!)
(with a cheesy French accent!)

Glad to hear he’s not totally fucked up. My son got jumped and they busted something over his head, requiring about 3 inches of stitches. I know the feeling when you get “that” phone call. Totally sucks. More and more I think the world has just gotten progressively more insane, of late. :frowning:

:dubious: I didn’t sense that at all. I took it as a comment that one should not get too angry over a television program. And I took his earlier post to be a sympathetic one, with comments on how it could have been much worse for Indygrrl’s husband. A sort of “count your blessings”, if you will. Are we seeing trolls under every bridge these days?

ETA: And of course I forgot what I came in for. My sympathies, Indygrrl, and I hope that all works out well.
