Sending happy thoughts your way!!!
Ouch ouch ouch ouch
'Tain’t pleasant, that, but, as Ayesha said, at least it wasn’t something worse. Our best to ya, and to Mike.
[sub]Hey, he’s gonna get New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day off. Silver lining? Pewter, anyway?[/sub]
That finger has got to hurt!!! But we are glad that even though there was some damage, everyone seems to have come out of it pretty OK…except for the finger. Take good care, DragonClan
I am relieved to hear it wasn’t life threatening.
Which hand? Not a dominant one, I hope. Don’t worry, he will be up and horny in no time
I’m glad everything is aok!
Hey DG!
Glad it wasn’t any more serious. My best wishes for a great New Year.

dragongirlI actually came to the boards this a.m. just to see if you had any info about your hubby yet. Happily, you found him, and all is relatively well.
Glad you are ok, Mike, really. And I hope your finger is ok also.

Me, too. When I logged on, this was the thread I looked for.
Hope everything goes well, dragongirl. Tell your hubby we are rooting for him.
Oops, that was me, although I am sure Rick wishes him well, too.

(I have to learn to check who is logged in!!!)
Thanks everyone !
He’s in a lot of pain. The doctor gave him some pain medicine, but he can’t take it because it makes him very nauseous, so he’s on advil, but it doesn’t seem to help much.
It’s the pointer finger on his right hand, which is tough, since he’s righthanded.
The doctor says that he lost all feeling in that part of his finger, and they’re not sure if they can keep it on, but they hope for the best.
Thanks, again.
Dragongirl, there are lots of different pain meds. Call the hospital or doctor and get some different ones. Pain management is a priority and they shjould not neglect it.
I’m glad the injury is not life threatnbing, I’ll be praying for you all.
dragongirl another here who’s glad it wasn’t more serious. Wish him good luck for me.
Jake
good grief!
i hope all goes well.
Hope the reattachment works, and that he can get something better for the pain. (It still seems amazing to me that they can reattach stuff.)
Just wanted to repeat this advice. Many people get nauseated with codeine, but there are many alternatives. Be pushy if you have to. People who abuse these drugs have the skills needed to manipulate medical providers into prescribing them. The rest of us - who need to use pain medication for what it is intended - are too polite to insist.
