No , maybe it was common 30 years back, these days I dont see swearing revenge more than a couple of times in 2 years in arnd 50 movies. The subjects have become more diverse, and story lines more interesting. Maybe you should watch more Hindi movies:). Watch khosla ka ghosla, bhejafry, band baja barat, ladies vs ricky behl, kai po chhe, ishaqzaade n others which maybe I can suggest if you want based on your interests…
