They are at least 15 years old. Bought from Dillards. Down, that has lost its fluff. But I like them that way. I’ve toyed with buying more. But resisted. Reasons.
I’ve kept them nice. I keep pillow protectors on. They probably cost more than the pillows. Can’t remember.
It’s hard to put pillow slips on king size pillows. This is known, I’ve been told.
Except I never have had a problem.
Because, I have freakishly long arms. I don’t have to use my mouth at all.
I swear I’m deflicted and deformed.
(Yes, Ivy…it is real real funny, glad you’re entertained by my disability )
I gave up on those monstrously big pillows eons ago because they always got flat in the middle while staying fluffy on the two ends. No amount of fluffing, shaking, or beating would redistribute the innards. (Maybe it’s the quality of pillow I bought - dunno.) Now we use queens on our king bed. And we sleep happily ever after.
What I don’t understand is the purpose of throw pillows in the bedroom. I’ve rented AirBnB houses and walked into the bedroom to find like ten 12-inch throw pillows on the bed in addition to the normal pillows. What am I supposed to do with them?
The bed I’ve had for as long as I can remember is a queen size with a foam mattress on a Scandinavian style slat bed. I see no need for huge pillows that supposedly match a “queen” or “king” size bed. Mine are just standard size but I think reasonably good quality. The last pillow I remember buying was from Ikea and it was their top of the line, I think down-filled. Really soft, anyway. Ikea may not be the best in the world, but many of their high-end products are pretty decent.
