My Kitty is going to Fall off the Computer!

She’s sleeping really hard, and she keeps draping over my monitor…a little more… a little more…

Anyone wanna bet on what time she falls?

You can also bet on a weight shift…that will make her slide off the back.

Any takers?

Wake Up Kitty!!!

Well? Did she move?

No, but it’s a pretty good way to make her fall off! She’s not the most grateful kitty on the block.

Dusty used to love sleeping on top of my CRT monitor, occasionally batting at things moving on the screen. I switched to a flat LCD and the first time she looked at it she coiled to jump but hesitated when she realized it didn’t look right. “I know this is the box with the moving pictures but…” She looked on top, looked at the front, looked on top again. She finally got disgusted and left to go poop in my shoes.

Graceful. Shit.

Well, if someone yelled and woke me up, making me fall out of bed in the process, I wouldn’t be grateful, either!

Nor all that graceful, either.

It is truly amazing to see some of the positions in which cats will sleep.

Our old boy Elvis Pussley likes to drape himself across bins of electronic parts and take a snooze. Looks ouchie to me, but whatever Elvis wants, Elvis gets.

Well, she shifted, but didn’t fall. Quicksilver has a hand draped over the screen and a tail flicking in front of the other side. This could take some time.

What I am wondering is:

Who’s gonna start the Kitty Pool?

:stuck_out_tongue:

pinkfreud - my first good laugh of the night after seeing that pic.

Thanks!

Our late cat, Cricket, LOVED to sleep on top of the monitor, but as relaxed as she ever got, she never once fell off. (She also liked to sleep on top of the answering machine, which was warm during the day when the computer monitor was turned off, and we lost many messages because of all the buttons she stepped on while getting in a comfortable position.)

Now our computer monitor barely fits in its space on the computer desk, and there really isn’t any room for a cat to fit there. Our current cats do like to sleep on top of the one TV that is flat enough to not slide off of, but that particular set isn’t on very often. Last night, though, I was watching TV in that room when one of the cats came in and decided to climb on top of the TV. He has a big bushy tail, and he was kind enough to drape his tail in front of the screen and move it back and forth, thereby removing all the dust from the screen for me. (I’m quite convinced that the birds outside the window behind the TV had absolutely nothing to do with these events, thank-you-very-much.)
