My last grandpa is dying soon...

And I’m really sad. That’s all.

How old is he? Do you live near him? What’s your favorite memory of your grandpa?

That sucks, dude. We’re about the same age, and I lost mine a year and a half ago. My other grandparents went before I was born so I never had to experience someone in decline like that.

Even though he was 88 (such a long life!) and we didn’t spend a lot of time together (he lived a couple hours away) and I got to “say goodbye” it still was just hella sad.

I cried a ton. It sucks. It feels like the beginning of the end or something.

Hang tight. Make sure you let him know you love him. Take care.

My sympathies.

My maternal grandmother lived to be 100 years old, much much older than any of my other grandparents. It was a sad day when she died.

My last grandfather died in his 60s, when I was in my young 20s. It was a long time ago, but I still remember him all the time. I loved him very much.

Sorry to hear. Treasure the time you had with him. My grandpas both died before I was born, and one grandma died when I was 4. It sucks, but count yourself lucky that you had him for this amount of time.

He’ll always be in your heart, and that’s what counts.
