Retiring in Tennessee, eh? I had been planning to snowbird to Arizona, but I might have to look into this Tennessee thing. Do they have any curling rinks there? My husband requires a curling rink for the winter months.

No curling, but Nashville has a hockey team.

You gotta remember, everything, including gas & taxes, is higher in Nashville/Davidson County.
Save some bucks, & look at Rutherford/Murfreesboro.

Condos in the midwest start at about 30k. You can get a fairly decent one in a safe neighborhood for 50k or so if you shop around.
