OK, I’m completely charmed by this!
This is the most appealing character I’ve seen in years!
Jenny is a teenaged superhero robot, just trying to get by in High School.
And, it’s fun!!! This has a unique appeal, & the character design is warm & appealing.
This is a very fresh, new cartoon on Nick, & I for one think that it makes up for the loss of Invader Zim quite nicely, thank you!
Then again, I’m an Astro Boy fan.
It always amazes me how much more enjoyable it is to watch good children’s programming then it is to watch mediocre adult programming. And I suppose I really should be children’s in quotes since that’s not really true as the best children’s programming is good because it can appeal to all ages.
Anyway this is a good show. Still a little hit & miss but very inovative and fun. So far my favorite episode is where Brad steals a spaceship. Plus Brad’s my favorite character. He just thinks so little about the consequences of his actions.
The point about kids TV vs. “adult’s” TV is well taken. I believe that somebody once said that kids’ TV is written at a Jr. HS level of education, & regular TV is written for 4th graders.
Anybody got any idea when the DVDs come out?
Heh-heh-heh. Boy, you really do like this show. It’s only 3 months old and your already looking for DVDs.
I don’t know anything but I wouldn’t be surprised to see some chooser sets by christmas. I don’t expect to see any full sets for a few years, if then.
I saw a little bit of this walking through the room where my son was watching it on th’ teevee.
Jenny was upset because she didn’t have any ears, so she couldn’t wear earrings, and the girls in her class were making fun of her, so she had a friend design a pair of ears and rivetted them onto her head.
Which made it difficult for her to maneuver aerodynamically when she was being a superhero. And the ears looked funny, so the supervillains laughed at her.
I thought it was GREAT.
…Anyone ever notice that Dr. Wakeman has only called Jenny “Jenny”—not “XJ9”—once? And that was when she (Jenny) was wearing a Venom-like artificial “human” skin.
Not exactly true…she sometimes slips, especially in moments of kindness.
