My Maserati dealer folded, damnit!

Spoken like a true Kia owner.

I really don’t think anybody will top this.

Why don’t you do what the rest of us Maserati owners do and fly the service tech in for the day to you? It might take a few days to Fed Ex parts back and forth. Or have the butler drive it to Chicago? - we load ours up on a flatbed truck and make him drive the flatbed - wouldn’t want the help to actually soil the car by getting in it other than to clean.

There’s a Polish joke or two in there somewhere.

Lake Bluff isn’t really “all the way” to Chicago …

Pshaw, the dealer in Lake Bluff is a poser!

Lamar Mundane, you are the closest. Actually, the last cool car I owned was a 73 AMC AMX (Javelin (Pierre Cardin edition no less)) with a built 401, 4 speed. She could take a Maserati in straight line acceleration no problem. Not so good on a slalom course however. I boat anchored the motor for the second time and had to part with her. Sniff…

AMX, for anyone interested. Picture of grenaded motor too.

Oh come now, they did have an early morning meeting somewhere first… so they said.

Here in the Boston MA area, one big megadealer (Ernie Boch) has announced his new Maserati /Ferrari dealership for years now. The site looks like work has stopped on it-I wonder if the noveau riche have decided that it doesn’t look so good to be driving these rolling status symbols, while ordinary people are losing their jobs?
Seriousl, i am struck by how closely the maserati resembles a Buick-even the phoney side ports!
These luxury cars tend to depreciate rapidly; and many are unsellable, because the maintainence is so expensive (brake job on a Frearri is around $2,500).

Yep, the Hummer dealer here (Bergstrom) went from selling the hulking SUV’s to the more economical Smart Cars at one of their locations. Quite a flip in inventory, wouldn’t ya say?

Same here. It was funny to watch it happen.

I saw where there were two MAYBACH sedans on Ebay-both unsold. the MSAYBACH is probably the biggest turkey since the edsel-it looks like a somwhat larger DAEWOO Leganza, but costs $300,000 new.
it seems there is no market for used ones.

I think it’s funny that the new Hyundai Sonata looks like a dead ringer for a Jaguar. Hah. Hah, I say.
