Midday today my sister went to my Mom’s house and found she had died. Mom was just past her 89th birthday.
I loved her as much as anyone in the world. She and my dad did a great job of parenting, although their styles were different.
I’m the executrix and now comes the job I’ve always dreaded, taking care of the estate. The funeral won’t be so hard as Mom had it all planned out.
I’m trying to stay calm but it’s not easy. I already miss her so much. I’ll say more later but my visits here will be short for now.
So sorry to hear this, Baker . Losing a parent is always hard. No matter how much you anticipate it happening, it’s always a shock.
