My Name Is Earl 12/6/207

I was wondering the same thing… the week before he blew the last of his lottery money on the prom. Now he is out and questioning his whole Karma ideology.

I would be kind of sad to see Earl stray from the path so to speak, but I was curious if the writers had something up their sleeves.

Just watched it online. Good episode. I liked that when people crawled through the ducts, they kept breaking through – something that TV never shows, but what should happen often (those ducts aren’t that sturdy).

Darnell’s neck pinch was a hoot, too.

I have not enjoyed this year as much and I’m hoping that his release will make it a better season. We will see.

Or that big and clean. In the show it looked like the ducts were designed to help prisoners escape, and the grills pop off without any tools.

Do wardens in the US have the ability to shorten prisoner’s prison time?

Probably not. But even if the warden didn’t, his wife is the governor. He could probably get her to retroactively commute Earl’s sentence. It doesn’t do her any good if he looks as incompetent as he really is. She wouldn’t stop at much to keep both their asses covered.

Ahh…lol. Was curious

I have no idea why I don’t watch this show more often. I get a better laugh per episode rate than almost anything else.

“When I say Butter, you say Toast”
“When I say Springer, you say Host”

And again, just because it deserves to be repeated:
“Oh Jesus you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind, hey Jesus, hey Jesus.”

Glad he’ll be leaving prison at long last. About time! Darnell’s Vulcan neck pinch, and Joy’s reaction, was a hoot. The warden having to keep shooing the guards out of his office was also good: “And the reason I’m not wearing my clothes is… I was pleasuring myself.” Randy insisting on following the jailbreakers out. Randy trying to build a human pyramid single-handedly.

I recently saw a short preview for Alvin and the Chipmunks, starring none other than Jason Lee. He ought to fire his agent. A great Emmy-worthy role on TV, but he keeps picking sucky movies (other than, most recently, The Incredibles).

I found it kind of strange that Earl was questioning why “three of us did bad things but one of us is going free” (something like that).

In reality, Earl didn’t do anything bad to get himself into prison while the other two guys did. He did something good - by taking the blame for Joy. Karma would prescribe a shorter sentence, then. The “bad” thing(s) he got away with while in prison were karma-fied, because he wasn’t supposed to be in there to begin with.

So I guess it was his karmic destiny to get out early, no matter how bad he acted.

Oh and about Catalina…why did Paco say “Catalina?!” when he drove past her in the “escape bus”? Are we supposed to know who he is/who he might be in relation to Catalina?

In the episode earlier this year that explained how they all ended up together… Turns out Catalina and Paco knew each other in Mexico and were bf/gf. I don’t remember who came up to the US first, but the other chased them and obviously one ended up in jail and the other a stripper.

Paco was in the US first.

In fact - both times Paco has seen Catalina, he winds up having an accident and going (back) to prison. And don’t take her picture in the bathroom with you - Paco hates that.

Catalina is no stripper, sir (or madam). She is a “Jumper”.
