My new game idea

Ok, so just like most i grew up on command and conquer, starcraft etc etc… Then i discoverd diablo and i liked that… but the grinding aspect kinda wore on me. Then Halo came and playing the library on legendary kept me and my pals occupied for hours feeling like heros fighting off hords of flood. Now when WoW came out i like most played… but killing 15 of the same thing… ove pvp over and over just lost its fun… i progressed 2 eve… but litteraly waiting a month for a skill to finish insted of grinding… got older alot faster then i thought it would :frowning:
So the other day i found medival total war 1…and realized how much i loved playing that commanding an empire, but leading my soilders into battle and zooming in like in command and conquer… and then it hit me!

Ok so what if there was a game were you had A player controlled hero, who could level up and enter combat and fight along side friendly npcs like halo or dynasty warrior BUT during combat you could zoom out and command your armies like in medival total war? and then after combat zoom out even more and build your empire? heres out it would work

In a “medival/fantasy” era type the story line would be this you as a player would start out as some soldier who was just knighted and given title to land by a king, then the tutorial would start as your characters first mission would be to walk back to his new land ud be a count, or duke, or baron or something during this time you would learn the basics of hero FPS combat how to navigate the world, maybe how to use abilities to your character like… if there were different classes like… press… T and you auto lock on the nearest oppent to swing your sword… and to do this on your way back you would get attacked by some kind of person trying to kill you and take your shit. Also since your a Knight/lord you would have a squire and he/she would give you adivce/tutroial leader.
Ok so finally you get back to your land, and you come to find a little palasade with a small keep in the middel with a dry mote, some farm land (army food) forests (wood), a hole in the ground (quarry), and then theres an iron mine (steel for armor/arms)
Ok so you get back and the next part of the tutrial starts “kingdom building” and it shows you how to zome out like in CnC and how you can build or expand like have your peasnts start building stuff like walls. bigger lumber yard, bigger quarry etc etc… then you can zoom out farther like medival total war to the regional view and se your neighbors who they are allied with etc. and it tells you how to build/grow/conqure/set up trade
Then you get to walk around your “city” which is really small b/c u have like 100 peons, a handful of men, and a tiny keep… all b/c your just starting out . Ok so uve explored, and then you can go sit at your throne if you want 2, then you can bring up your kingdom chart… and it shows your production, tax levle. soilder info etc etc.
Well now your first mission might be, ok build more houses so the peons can multiply, and with more peons you increase production, and grow your millitary base, and theres things like… if you build walls around the peons houses they like you more and production increases. O and as you complete these missions you get “command points” which help you level, along with combat points… and there are different atributes for each. Ok so u go back into zoom out mode and select a house from the building tab and place it… and in X ammount of time based on how many peons u have and maybe even time of year your skill level, and your citys skill levl is how fast it will build. but like a deafult time of 2 hours… for a basic house.
Ok so then your next mission is 2 build an army b/c the king has sent for you to aid in some battle agianst the enemy kingdom ( i didnt state it before but there would be like 2 major factions, and then like some kind of a pirate/rebel presence.) Ok so you go to your barracks and see your head foot soldier dude and he helps you build your first army. Ok so you get your army and the basic weapons you can build and then you march to were the king told you 2 go and your in your first battle. When you get there the king is there 2 with his army and your army, and alot of other lords have there armies there So u zoom out and the king tells you where 2 go so you move your armies to that location and then the fighting starts at which point u zoom in and fight just like in dynatsy warriors or in wow using your indvidual attributs/spells etc , while u have a HUD telling you the status of your army, the kings army, and the enemy. Ok so first big epic battle over, and in this game u loose men in your army based on how welll they are equiped and you fight… so in theory you could be the only one left but ass kick your way to victory.
Ok so then the main story would progress and no matter how well you do the king is killed by one of his own close lords and the the whole kingdom is thrown into turomoil also you levl up and get to select skills and such. some combat, some leadership, and empire building.
So now you march back to your little hideaway and news comes to you that all these different lords whoo are mostly more powerful then you are in fighting for command of the realm So you must do the same grow your land/army/prestige/population to become lord of the realm. And you do this by conquering land near you and upgrading your kingdom…now to get like a huge citadle u would need a high player levle, a hige popualtion, huge numbers of reasoures, and alot of land… now lnad near by you is always held by rebels, who you can liberate or conqure. both have there advantages. Also you can be attacked by rebles, theves, and other factions… but for awhile most of them ignore you until you get form count to baron… or something . O also u can have your own kinghts/generals… and u can send your armys into land and auto calculate the battle, but if you personally go your army gets a huge boost.
Now for the MMO part of it… obviously the other “lords” would be other players and they would do the same things you would, there would be different servers etc and a huge huge world… i like to think modeld after morrowind, or oblivion or dont have to be MMO. It could be in europe but i think a fantasy aspect would help it sell better.

So thats pretty much my idea… i hope it sounds good to you, and if there is something ud like or didnt like let me know.

Not exactly this, but look up Mount And Blade.

sounds good - i think stronghold kingdoms has some elements of this, also tribal wars. i guess there are already some browser based games in this style, you should check those out for ideas!

You LIKED the Library in Halo?
