Yay Cricket. I think of you too when I’m reading baby threads. A girl eh… WooWoo! Girls are fun. Except when they pour strawberry milk all over the couches. I am partial to the name Catherine but I spell it with a K 
Actually I used to want to change the spelling to Cathryn but decided I’d just stick it out. Elizabeth is my daughter’s middle name. We thought it was pretty but didn’t want it for her first name.
I also have a katie story. Never ever ever in my life (all 15 years of it at that point) had I heard of katie as a shortening of Katherine. Then one teacher called roll on the first day of school and did first names only. I didn’t hear my name so I dutifully raised my hand at the end when she asked who hadn’t been called. This was the start of a horrible class as she insisted on calling me katie all year and I never answered her.
