My Own Worst Enemy--who else is watching?

I’m really liking this show;especially the messages that Henry and Edward leave for each other. I thought it was kind of funny when Edward let Ruthie buy a $2,000.00 dress for the bat mitzvah she was going to. Henry very properly chews Edward out and gets a grudging apology. Now that we’ve seen Edward/Henry, Tom/Raymond, etc, I guess that everyone who works in Henry’s office is a spy/cover? I’ve started noticing that Mike O’Malley who plays Tom/Raymond, is a good actor. He likes and respects Edward and barely tolerates Henry, downgrading him as worth less than a dog. I’m making time in my schedule to record and watch this show. What does everyone else think?

I’ve been watching it. I enjoy the show, but like Henry, I fail to understand the loyalty Edward inspires in his fellow agents.

I love it. I just heard it was cancelled, though.

I don’t understand why they keep putting Edward into field operations given the fact that he’s likely to turn into Henry at any time and get himself and everyone on his team killed.

I also don’t understand why, in the case of the asian female agent who they believed was broken, they erased the agent personality. Isn’t the agent the original and the non-agent the made up personality?

Really enjoy the show. It’s a shame NBC is dumping it.

I was just about to post that it’s my new favorite show, when I read that it’s going to be cancelled. It’s getting harder not to believe in a causal relationship – if I like a show, it will surely be cancelled, or at best, doomed to be one of those “critically acclaimed, low ratings” shows that struggles to stay on the air.

I’m thinking of starting an extortion racket, wherein I contact television producers and threaten to become a fan of their show, unless they pay me off.

I really wanted to watch this show, but it airs opposite Boston Legal, which I also like, and Mrs. Chef cast the tie-breaking vote for BL.

I really need to get a DVR that can record more than one show at a time.

So to answer the question in the thread i would say: no outside of this thread. This gets the axe and Knight Rider gets a full season. Thank God for cable.

It’s getting cancelled? Dammit! I like this one, and I love Christian Slater.

I liked the show, although some of the tech stuff really made me cringe, like using the freeze spray on the chip to allow you to break the secret encryption code, and that chip being a stick of RAM that wouldn’t store any info if the system was off anyway.

I am shocked that they are canceling it so soon. I thought they would try to tweak it in their lineup a bit more. Big name, and a substancial investment.

NBC is getting killed this year - Do they have any top shows right now?

The Office does OK, especially with DVR ratings. Otherwise, Heroes is doing mediocre and most other shows are failing. ER is going off the air, as well.

NBC is fast becoming a wasteland.

Talk about bad timing-I found out this show was cancelled about twelve hours after I posted the OP. To make things worse, I’ve heard that Life is getting cancelled as well. Do you think there’s a chance that NBC will sell a DVD of all of the actual episodes that exist of MOWE anytime soon?

Hmmm. Wikipedia has an uncited claim that GM is the show’s primary sponsor, and that is the main sponsor featured on the show’s website, so I wonder if GM going down the toilet has something to with it being cancelled.

Is that SOP for the industry? Not to back a show unless a major sponsor backs it also? Which would also mean that NBC/Universal could not find another backer for the show either. And that Heroes is lucky it went with Nissan.

Hmmm.

I was just getting into the show, happy to see Christian Slater again. Heathers is still one of my favorite movies, and I refuse to believe that his career peaked with that.
