it seems i used quotation marks for dowsing. (“dowsing”) so it did not show up…

As I understand it, quotes are only a problem if you preview the thread before submitting it… If you still want to preview, you can hit the back button to go back to the original reply screen, then hit “submit”. Ordinarily, the procedure for dealing with this when it happens is to either e-mail the moderator or an administrator and ask him or her to fix it, or to just post the explanation as a reply in the original thread, so that the thread listing doesn’t get too cluttered.
