It isn’t my intention to needlessly report a problem. But I would like to know if it is the fault of my computer or this message board. My smileys are acting weird again. Some of them are white again (that probably is a message board issue–I understand, and don’t mind ). But some of them don’t show up anymore on the menu to the right of what I typing now. I can tell what they are by waving my mouse over it. They are as follows: :dubious: :smack: ;j . As I’ve said, I certainly can use them and find out what they are if I really want to. I just want to be sure it is not my computer’s fault

Just quoting you with smileys now disabled.
A few days ago someone noted that the emoticons had faded to white again. Those three missing ones have been gone for a while now.
Oh good, I’m glad it’s not just me. One more case of “faded smilies” here, plus Dubious, Smack, Wally, and Happy Jewish Man are missing.
Not complaining, just reporting.
I’m having the same issue. The SDMB doesn’t seem to crash anymore so any word on when I can smile again
It’s interesting to note that the only missing smilies are the custom ones.
Not all that interesting, actually. Our colorful smileys were sort of all custom. They used to be the vB standard, but as of (the last version we were using), the Caspers became the default. As of right now, our smiley set is the default set, which explains both why they’re pale and why we don’t have dubious, smack, wally, or jewish (since, of course, those being SDMB original creations, they don’t have default vBulletin versions).
