My world, and welcome to it; a pictorial MMP

I worked another 15 hour day. Blerg. Gmae kinda sucked yesterday. I did get a new jersey. The guys at the RBC jersey shop asked me, “How many do you own?”

gt, is that Death Chicken?

Puggy, sound like you’re making Bachelor Food for your pups.

Why doggio, how did you know?

Morning folks. Okay, here is my (meagre) contibution to the pictorial element of this MMP.

Here is the entrance to our house - it used to be part of a much bigger house, so it’s not “detached”, and there’s no garden (FTR, even if we had the deposit/down-payment, we couldn’t afford a stand-alone house with a garden, since the market here has gone berserk, and such a thing would cost at least US$800,000). Here, looking from the driveway out, is our neighbourhood - no grass, no trees, no footpaths, just a dusty overgrown bougainvillea in the top left corner (I want Bumba’s house!!! :frowning: )! And finally, here is the loungeroom that HRH has made her own private fiefdom - the mess is 90% of her making and 10% ours! It’s a good thing I’m not naturally a neat freak!

Okay, off to make a second cup of cawfee and find some cough syrup to stop this nasty, dry, chesty cough from ruining what should be a decent kind of start to the weekend!

It’s not where I live, but if home is where the heart is… a piece of it belongs to this little girl I haven’t met yet.

Awww, how cute, Nava!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. Actually I’ve been up for over an hour! No idea why. Anywho, the sheets are all washed and dryed, so there’s that. Might as well get started on the workpile…

Nava awwwwwww…

Spaz it’s my duty to make sure JoeDawg does not get spoiled. That’s just what a good nanny does. He goes home later today.

Ok, off to get busy.

Later Y’all!

Home from grocery shopping, with plans to make warm ricotta fritters, dusted with cardamom sugar, for Iftar sweets today!

Nava, baby Paula is beeyootiful!!!

Oh, Nava, she’s beautiful.
Dotty, I like the combination glaring sunlight and twelve air conditioners. I’d expect everyone to have central a/c.

Pretty good night, except Mr. Lissar stayed up till 11 working on a weapons bag he’s making, so we’re all a little sleepy. Even Nat, although he went to bed at 7:45, the lazy little guy. Hey, eleven is late if you have to get up at 12 and 3 to nurse, and up for the day at 5:30.

She’s beautiful… love those chubby cheeks!

¡Ay, qué linda! Congrats again, Auntie Nava!

Nice pics, too, Dotty.

It’s Firday!!!

:::does animated happy dance:::

Off to locate brekkie…

Up. caffeinated, off to work all day.

Paula is the second cutest kid I’ve ever seen.

Blurf, and happy Firday.

I’m in mourning. Thirty gallons of uncleaned peecans are now in the trash, having spoiled while they awaited said cleaning. That’a a lot of peecans, and a lot more money lost. Not all is lost; the new crop starts dropping in about a month.

VWife and I picked apples last night, in a noreaster.

Is it quit o’clock yet?

blargle

That is all.

For as much as it drives me crazy, I might have mentioned this before. So my apologies if I did. There’s this incredibly stupid kid (high school age) that waits for his bus at the end of my street. His bus comes around 7 a.m. so it’s still usually dark out. Almost every day he’s wearing black or dark colored clothing and ***he sits in the street ***right at the opening where cars are coming off a majorly busy main road while waiting for his bus. :smack::smack::smack::smack::smack:

Well, I thought I’d share some photos of my little world. I should mention that it is pouring out- usually it’s brighter and sunny.

My house is a pretty typical contemporary colonial. We are doing some work on it, and it is frequently messy, so I’m limiting interior shots! What I love about my home is the almost acre we live on and the fact that we are surrounded by acres of protected wet lands, so no one can build around us. We live in a small cul-de-sac, but we are set back from the rest of the houses. Privacy is pretty big to me.

This is the view out our back door. Most of what you see is ours, although the wetlands do start back there, too.

We eat out on that deck almost every meal, weather permitting, during the summer!

This is the view out the front. I’ll take photos when the leaves change or when we have a heavy snow- it’s beautiful, to me.

Here’s an interior shot of my favorite thing I own: I was admiring this tapestry in a small shop and came home and told my husband about it. He secretly went back the next day, asked the clerk if she remembered me and bought it. I love the tapestry and the story.

Typical view when I’m on the upstairs computer.

Work- we just got our new digs, which may seem small and drab to most, but considering what we had, we are all blissed out. This is the view out my office window, which is worth more than anything. Stillunpacking. Notice the ubiquitous M&M dispenser.

Here is my lab, where I spend a huge chunk of my day.

So, there you go!
ETA: I found a nifty way to get text labels for the URLs- I just wrote the text in the paragraphs, highlighted the words I wanted to be links, clicked the link button, pasted the URLs. hit ok. It automatically used the highlighted text in the message window!

Happy Firday!!!

I’m off work today, and still caffeinating. I think we’ll go see how the dog park fared - it’s been two weeks and fairly dry, shouldn’t be too muddy.

Then I’ll come home and start painting the hallway again. :frowning: Blech. I really need to get a haircut and a mani/pedi, too, though. Hmm…decisions, decisions. :stuck_out_tongue:

Bumba, I think it was you who asked why we call her Soapy. Because of Ivory soap! Get it?

More hugs for you, {{{Ivory}}}.

What a l’il cutey patootie, Nava! I love babies (as long as they’re someone else’s!)

Swampus, I think it’s just disgraceful how you treat poor JoeDawg. You know he’ll never eat his regular food again!

I think we’ll have homemade burgers tonight. Yum!

Later, gators!

I just got a voicemail from one of my clients. She was calling to cancel a lunch on monday because the higher-ups have cutoff her budget (along with all the other clients that work for that same company). They will only be doing a few very important lunches through the end of the year. Probably at least 30% of my clients work for this corporation.:(:(:frowning:

Oh no! Pie- what a shame!

Thanks- Bumba- and like ReBo said… I’m Soapy 'cause of the Ivory part. Some used to call me 99 44/100% until I finally convinced them i wasn’t that pure!

I read this as “I think we’ll have gatorburgers tonight.”

I think my dyslexia is caused by lack of caffeine. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
