I only recently found out that the Bozo show that I grew up watching in the 70s was actually a franchise rented out to local tv stations to produce for their local audiences. Anyway, knowing this, maybe some of you who grew up in other parts of the US might be able to help. Question for anyone who grew up watching the Bozo show, Bozo’s Circus , or whatever the local name was, does anyone remember the cartoon they showed about a white/gray dog who would have to salve some crime or disaster and would eat some dog biscuit that would have XYZ written on it, then turn into a superhero character with an S now on his sweater chest? In the whole of the internet, I can’t find pictures or video of this character.

I saw a thread on a different site from 2002 discussing Snuffles, and someone commented that there was a similar dog in old Bozo cartoons. So it might be a folie à deux, or there might be a different dog out there.

Course if it were a rabbit it would be the Super-Bugs episode. It does occur to me that his nemesis (Porky? Elmer? Random dude?) and the nemesis’s DOG eat the same super-carrots and become super at the end of the episode

If we’re going there, why not figure there’s an Underdog angle in play? That’d maybe explain the part about the hero dog having a sweater with a letter on it upon gulping down the source of his temporary super-powers…

Underdog was my first thought because of the sweater and the S. I don’t remember a buiscuit though…he did have a coin he would bite after he won it? or was given it?
