Sorry, but it is Snuffles, not Snuggles.
Dang it. I was saying Snuggles in my head. My niece has a dog named Snuggles. I blame my typing at this late hour. Yeah that’s it.
Well, @Beckdawrek and @Czarcasm, you both shock me, but especially Beck, because I’d never have made the connection to Quick Draw McGraw. I used to watch it as a kid but have no recollection whatsoever of Snuffles. According to Wikipedia, he appeared in seven episodes, and then separately in an episode of Snaglepuss, in December, 1961. 
Snuffles also had as a part of his schtick, his endearing method of demanding treats (dawg biss-kyits) before he’d accept a task. AHH. AHH. AHH-AHH while pointing into his mouth.
And once he got one, he’d hug himself like he was on Ecstasy before launching himself skyward.
