No, that’s not what I mean. I mean that Inner said that if you are not voting for a claimed mason or someone who got a message you are probably trying to hide your voting record. It was strongly implied that this meant that he found you to be scummy. I was just wondering if you shared this sentiment because if you do then maybe it isn’t totally out of nowhere bizarre like it seems to be to me.
If I’m counting correctly, the last 6 votes that have been cast are all on Blaster Master, leapfrogging him past Scuba_Ben, gnarlycharlie, and Silver Jan…and all in the last 2 hours (and in the last 4 hours of the Day).
Does that seem odd to anyone else, or just me?
Uh, well, that would eliminate Jan right from the start since her message said someone was a wolf, not villager. : p
That pretty much narrows it down to either Blaster or Dancecat.
Are you counting me once or twice?
I am wholly opposed to the Blaster Master lynch.
For one, it tells us nothing about the claims situation. I want to settle some part of that. If gnarly is revealed as scum, it was a success. If gnarly is mason, we’ve temporarily cleared some other folks, and it’s a success. Scum are forced to choose between lynching confirmed town or shoot into the dark, and I like making their choice harder.
Also, I’m not enamored with many of the Blaster Master voters’ reasons. Drain Bead has a “ping,” and I think Episkey is scum so I don’t trust his read at all. Idle at least has a reasonable suspicion, but I disagree with his conclusion. Explain the scum though process to me. Yes, I know, “don’t get trapped in 'scum wouldn’t do that,” but I’ve considered the event and I don’t believe it indicates Blaster is scum.
Lastly, I’m not digging how much late-day steam this wagon has gathered. It doesn’t strike me as right at all.
I’m sticking with gnarly.
I think it’s bad, tomorrow we should have a bunch more info to make an even better decision
lets the wolves help resolve it
Seems odd to me. That’s why I’m happy with my vote on Scuba Ben.
Yes. You beat me to it, but I think this is a terrible wagon.
This is so wrong and bad I want to Day kill you right now for being wrong headed. Lynching a mason is the single worst possible thing we can do.
This is legitimate.
This is earthshatteringly stupid.
Your posts today have been just fine. Thanks for toning it down.
Other than the speed, which is a legit concern. Why? I didn’t really follow your reasoning in your last post. Did you see the case that I presented for BlaM’s lynch that much of the wagon (I think, I might be being really self centered) is based on?
Oh, I get what you mean…you’re talking about the message YOU (scuba) got and not the one that Jan got.
In that case, you’re right.
Once.
Starting from the Vote count from Post 2343, the last 6 votes of the game:
Dancecat [2258], Normal Phase [2272], Episkey [2295], Drain Bead [2322], Idle Thoughts [2326], NAF1138 [2347]
all cast on Blaster Master.
I’m not particularly thrilled about a blaster lynch.
I don’t think Silver as villager would out gnarly, but if gnarly is a wolf maybe it’s FPS and they’re both wolves and Silver was trying to bus for credit? This is just speculation, not particularly likely. I agree that it’s best to sort out this situation in future days when we have more information, ideally an alignment reveal that we can trust. Speaking of which, if we don’t start getting reliable alignment reveals, this game is going to be hard for the village to win. I do trust that Gadarene knows what he’s doing, though, and has made this game as balanced as he could.
Precambrianmollusc isn’t a wagon anymore? I was thinking he could be a good lynch today.
lil, we’re all wondering that. There’s no way to know until we know what those Night actions were.
Still, it’s a good question. To Idle, Weedy, and Giraffe: Did you get any result whatsoever about your Night actions? Jan has already said she did not get any result on her primary target.
On NAF’s purple prose. #473 Inner votes for TexCat in what’s intended to be a self-evident vote. I do have to agree that voting to lynch someone for a Bad Idea is itself a bad move. Still, Inner knows to at least point it out. Tex noted that other people commented on her vote. And then Inner ducked it Today.
So given that I have to leave soon, I’ll support NAF’s case on Inner. And I’m hesitant to probe the three remaining N1 message subjects, so I’m not joining the bandwagon on Blaster Master.
vote Inner Stickler
AOP @ Idle: No it doesn’t. The three subjects of messages that I refer to are Dancecat (received by you), Silver Jan (received by me), and Blaster Master (received by Giraffe). Jan’s message is suspected false because it conflicts with Weedy’s role & alignment message, which I am attributing as true on the strength of (a) it includes role, and (b) it’s corroborated by gnarly’s mason claim.
Please note “attributed” and “suspected”, not “proven”. ![]()
So yes, three subjects of messages that say “So-and-so is a Villager.” I hope that’s clear as mud.
AOP2: I see you got it.
Glad to know I’ve been right about something Today.
That’s it. See you all after Dusk. Have a pitcher of mai tais ready for me, please.
you want to kill me because you think I’m scum, or just because I’m wrong?
Eh, I’ve been called worse.
You’re ignoring that this “claimed mason” is also a claimed wolf. I think ignoring town’s first wolf claim is a silly choice.
this is highly entertaining. we have a knon scum giraffe and another identified scum that the dick won’t even vote for. and they are trailing. kind of fun.
For the lazy who didn’t click my links.
The above quotes are the part of the case I presented against BlaM that I think hold the most water.
This one too.
It’s the logic of the person trying to go for the easiest lynch.
Peeks, I think I must have missed something. How do we know Giraffe is scum?
