And wolves are obv trying to make me out to be a wolf so the village will keep trying to lynch me. They don’t want to waste a nk on me instead of killing villagers. Wolves probably have to eliminate all threats and achieve parity with the village, so I’m going to have to go for them to win. Easier for them to get me lynched again instead of having to waste a couple of nk’s on me.

crackedquads looks the best candidate given his bizarre claim and threat to be anti-Town, but I’ll hold off voting for now. (Anyway, it appears his Lynch will not require my help.)

Just as Precambrianmollusc did several Nights ago, last Night I received my own role PM, but the role was inconsistent with the results (or rather, lack thereof) that I’ve received. I’m still mystified about what my own role is, though a few more tidbits of information might be enough for an “Aha!”

I’m 94.77% sure I’ve figured out my role. It’s been staring at me for a while, but I was too simple-minded to figure it out. Thanks to LighterFeet’s post for jogging my memory.

I’m not sure of the pros and cons for revealing my role; it is weird, but seems lacking in any real power. Best might be to keep Scum guessing: I don’t think my role warrants them wasting a NightKill, but they might assume the opposite.

If I am correct, I deduce that bufftabby is herself the Courtesan, or whatever the role is that gives players a warm glow.

This was my first post in the game. There’s a reason why I wanted to talk about the n0 action and vigs. I thought I was the vig and that mine should have worked n0 as the neutral.

Why would you have thought you were a Vig, when your action didn’t work N0? This doesn’t make sense to me.

Now addressing everybody but cq: CQ said e’d shot pwnsall simply because pwnsall had dared to vote for em and make a strong case. That’s the largest case of *OMGYS So I’ll Night Kill You *that I’ve ever seen. Plus, at the time pwnsall was soft cleared (hard cleared to me and anybody who trusts me). Therefore, CQ’s attack at pwnsall was strongly anti Town.

As I recall, CQ has claimed intentionally targeting Villagers, and has not claimed any attacks on confirmed (Dead) Scum. I see no reason to believe anything e says about, well, just about anything. Further, e’s the only player to have claimed being told anything nonstandard about their role at game start. (I consider Scum being told “These are your fellow Scum, and here’s how you can talk with them” as standard.)

Therefore I conclude CQ poses a threat to BOTH Town and Wolf. However, e’s presently acting as a co-belligerent with Wolves against Town, and therefore unlikely IMO to be the Wolf’s target Tonight.

For myself, I think it’s more useful at present to lynch probable Scum than probable SK. So I’m still keeping my vote on Episkey. A cliche in the hand, and all that.

CQ, now I address you: Should you survive the Day, please shoot at people you think are Wolves. If you truly can win with either side, you really really want us to not keep trying to lynch you.

Everybody, when is it worth a mass claim of targets, results, and estimated roles? (I say “estimated” because septimus and I are both mostly certain of our roles, but have not claimed receipt of our role PMs.)

Regarding Episkey:

Night 1:
Ben targeted gnarlycharlie, but was reflected back onto himself (by Drain Bead). He was told that Silver Jan is Town
Episkey targeted Silver Jan. Jan was told that gnarly is Scum (FALSE)

Night 2:
Ben targeted Giraffe and Askthepizzaguy (having been doubled by Ed). Giraffe was told that pwnsall was Town (TRUE) and Pizza was told that Episkey and NAF were Scum.
Episkey targeted Pizza. Pizza was told that Episkey and NAF were Scum.

Night 3:
Ben targeted himself. he was told that Weedy is town (TRUE).
Episkey targeted gnarly. gnarly was killed, so we don’t know what he would have been told.

I thought Episkey said that he himself got a result on gnarly, due to gnarly’s death or some such. I don’t think that’s ever been satisfactorily explained. Drain Bead’s role could do it, but she’s claiming responsibility for the similar result the next night, and she couldn’t have done it twice in a row. NAF didn’t do it. It’s hypothetically possible it was due to a second (scum?) version of one of those roles, but see below.

Night 4:
Ben targeted Drain Bead. Drain was told that Ed is Town.
Episkey targeted pwnsall, but Drain redirected him to himself. He was told that he is Scum.

Ben has been responsible for true results on Nights 2 and 3.
Episkey has been responsible for a false result on Night 1.

If we presume that the messages sent to Pizza on Night 2 came from Ben and Episkey, then Ben cannot be a Naive Cop, since we generated a ‘Scum’ result. Therefore he must be a True Cop. In that case, he must be responsible for the Episkey result, since we know NAF is Town (per Zeriel). That mans that Episkey is Scum.

I have to say it is possible that he isn’t (and Scuba not lying either). The gnarlycharlie result could be explained by a hypothetical probably-scum role, and so could this one (result reverser for investigative roles targeting Scuba Ben on night two – I got hit by one recently elsewhere and they’re a pain in the ass). For both things to happen on exactly the right nights and directed at the right people to make Episkey look bad, though, would be a hell of a coincidence. It’s possible he’s town. I don’t think it’s likely. He voted Blastermaster on day two, but that was late bandwagon IIRC, prior to the Inner wagon really getting going.

I suppose Zeriel’s information concerning NAF could be inaccurate, but this seems unlikely.

Hypothetical result reverser again, hits Scuba night two (who is naive, Episkey paranoid, not insane), then Zeriel night four. Revisit if Episkey flips town, otherwise ignore as the paranoid rambling it likely is.

Now, whether or not we should try to lynch him Today and risk him being protected by a Scum Day-Angel…that’s another issue. I’ll address that in another post

I want to say that given cracked’s claim and the unlikelihood that the mafia would have two individual killers, that that’s not likely to be an issue (and he could always be blocked tonight), but the rules thing on his lynch invulnerability yesterday is still hanging me up. I don’t see how that can be the truth.

A couple of people who are likely to be seers or have since stated as much have targeted me and gotten no results. Pwnsall targeted me and claimed he got no results for instance.

That’s a lot to conclude based on one example.

Huh? Do you realize I don’t care at all if I would have shot the mason? Zero. The chaos is good for my role because it ensures I would have survived later into the game. The masons aren’t exactly good for me because the more information they share, the closer I get to being outed by them. I don’t care at all that a mason was shot, but it wasn’t me who shot him.

That’s PFK logic, not survivor logic. PFK or scum, you need to die. If the scum are smart they will target you tonight if the lynch doesn’t take again.

Yes I claimed way back on day two ro three when under a bit of pressure (hey I break easily )
to reiterate what I have said so far
N1 Suburban Plankton visited episki
N2 No one visted Suburban Plankton
N3 I targeted Pwnsawll but was told no one visited Septimus - so I was redirected, so any other claims of redirection on N3 could be suspicious
N4 I watched cracked quads - no one visted him.

So if Cracked was a wolf and all power are targeted at night and some other wolf had decided to protect him from a day lynch they would have had to target him N4- I dont see how that could be as no one visited him N4.
