I worry about looking Townie because I often come across as Scum. And I have never started a game as Scum. (I once subbed in as one, though.)

I guess if you have a history of getting mislynched that would be a problem, but generally, Townies don’t think about their actions the same way as Scum do. Are you telling me that you actually take certain actions because if you didn’t you were worried that you would be call scum? I can see Townies not saying something they were thinking because Town would take it the wrong way (which is a smart thing to do), but actually placing a vote because of the belief that Townies vote early? You would do that? That is something that you as Town would do simply to look Townie.

If Krayz really IS a Seer (which I don’t believe, anyway), he’s a Godawful one. He all of called three other players wolves.

So if he’s the Seer, how’s anyone ever going to get anything useful from his posts when he’s dead? They won’t know who he’s being honest or just name calling about.

This makes me think that either Krayz is a horrible Seer who is deliberately trying to be confusing…or he’s not the Seer and just “fakepeeking”.

So I’m happy to lynch him.

I think I’m going to hold off any more persecution of DanceCat today given the vote totals and trends. I don’t like the bandwagon on Krayz one bit. I don’t agree that what peeker’s done is a reliable scum tell for him.

Hello all. I came over from 2p2, as Gadarene said. This is my 5th game of WW. I’m very happy to be included and look forward to a good game. I’m a bit busy now and have only read the first few posts to learn the rules/set-up, but I’ll catch up on the thread as soon as I can and hope to be a productive villager/townie.

NETA: that is to say I think TexCat and Krayz are both likely town, but I don’t think Krayz is likely the seer.

I would be curious about seeing Jan lynched for information purposes, but I don’t particularly buy into that case and the only other person I would be really happy to see lynched is Ed, but there aren’t enough people on that wagon for me to move off my top current vote for my top candidate.

And there we go, I have indulged my addiction and caught up. I’ll try to be back before Dusk, but I don’t make any promises.

Voting someone for a bad idea = null tell, especially on Day One.

I’m too lazy to actually look up data on this, but I feel like a lot of time these turn out to be Town-Town battles. I am reminded of sachertorte outing the Masons based on voting record in the game thread in Cecil Pond (I think that was what it was anyway). I think I voted for him for that until one of us finally died, although I can’t remember who died first. In the end, we were both Town, and it was a terrible distraction all around.

we often believe being helpful is a null tell.

one of our cultural differences. it would be interesting to use it in our next games though it would probably get them lynched before people get used to this.

yes, fakepeeking is certainly alien to us but the way they do it makes it feasible. if a cop did that and no one provided cover that would be the end of that.

also, i notice that they also have pressure votes like players from CFC. it’s quite intriguing voting for someone for no real reason except to see how players especially the votee reacts.

not hot about peeker’s case. lot of meta here. haven’t played with him much. just one game so i can’t say.

i’ll Vote Texcat for her vote on Mykbot. scum tend to play safe and not make controversial statements or potentially bad ones so i’m leaning/soft clearing **Mykbot **. voting for a bad idea is opportunistic. the OMGUS on lilflower makes me even more suspicious.

on preview, i see Dancecat has racked up votes. hmmm…

AFAIK, a bus driver switches the targets of two Night actions.

the concept of the results going to the target of the Night action is new to me. i’ve never heard of this. more new stuff. nice!

That’s all of his posts. So much crap, no wolf hunting. Touches on a few random players but his reasons are just summaries of what others have said.

I don’t know how you guys feel about CFD’s (Chinese Fire Drills, lynching a random player late in the day), so I won’t really push this, but just keep note of him.

I do think because of the wagon sizes there is a decent chance a wolf is a wagon, so a current lead wagon dying is fine by me. At the very least I’m not lynching texcat with him because I feel like gnarly is a wolf and his poor excuse for a texcat lynch is trying to save one of the other wagons.

@ Drain – Yeah, but that’s not the whole case on her even if it is what Inner himself voted on. She also arguably did what lilflower and Mykbot said she did (haven’t checked the fourth vote), which is argue that Mykbot’s bad idea was aimed getting some naive vigs to off themselves, which is both far-fetched as a motive and I think unsupported by his own words.

So we disagree on something.
