pretty sure lynch all liars is a injoke, not an actual hard and fast rule.
also, 60 fucking seconds? :smack:
No. What NAF suggested is extremely (and imo, very obviously) anti-town.
no u
How not?
note to poggers, no fancy play syndrome
First game of this type for me .
I’ve made some dangerous mistakes ‘thinking’ I knew what I was doing- trying to prevent it for others.
May of us are used to much longer days/nights. If your ‘spreadsheet’ is on the work/home computer and you are up for lynch at a different location, You won’t have the data at your fingertips to ‘prove’ who you targeted and if there were results in an effort to save yourself. After a handfull of days it will be tough (is that clearer?)
Idle Thoughts
At least yours is referencing your avatar so I know who you are.

See, I just thought it was a misthought idea. Or bad idea, if you like that word better. Or one that has some pros but also many cons and that the cons weren’t thought out well (or yet).
Take your pick.
But coming right out and saying they were totally ANTI-TOWN…that seems a bit heavy.
That’s a statement I can get behind. I like you, I will be really sad if you turn out to be scum.
Also, is anyone else having a problem with the board being slow and/or timing out? Or is it just me?
I have a feeling my ww game will go over VERY well here
Normal Phase (town roleblocker): I targeted Askthepizzaguy last night.
NAF (town seer): I targeted Normal Phase
Askthepizzaguy (scum tracker): I targeted NAF
Askthepizzaguy in scum thread: I was roleblocked. Must be Normal Phase, she’s the only one who did anything to me. NAF’s not a roleblocker or Normal wouldn’t have gotten through herself. There’s a chance he knows she’s town/truthful. Let’s kill 'em both.
We go out of our way as villagers to try to leave what look like actual investigation peeks, but are not. That way when the wolves kill us at night, it can be concluded with relative confidence that the fake peek we left was correct.
For example:
CPHoya says on day 1 that “If I’m the seer, wahoopride is a villager.”
On night 1 CPHoya is killed.
On day 2 it is revealed that CPHoya was just a villager. From this the village can conclude that wahoopride is PROBABLY a villager, because otherwise the wolves wouldn’t have killed CPHoya - the built-in assumption is that the wolves want to kill the seers before they kill anyone else, and by killing CPHoya they imply that they thought CPHoya was the seer, meaning the peek was correct.
So no reason behind the vote?
Is it just a random one?
Up yours, I’m not getting drawn into your web this time, buster. When you’re Town, you bait me into mislynching you. When you’re scum, you bait me into trying to lynch you, getting lynched myself, and then wriggling out of the consequences through circular logic and daring lies.
I absolutely can not figure you out. You’re like a hair under my contact lens. I’d lynch you every game on Day one if I could, except that then you’d be Town ten games in a row just to spite me.
</why I hate Ed soliloquoy>
I just feel like the first sentence is a leap of faith, and is very player dependent (i.e, some players, due to experience or whatever, are going to be better at reading people than other players). It also is a bit wtf. “I find player X suspicious so that means they’re probably not scum” just seems a bit eh?
I’m not sure how having a disagreement over whether something is a good idea is scummy, regardless of how hard the initial player believes it.
Early voting tends to be done more by townies, at least in my experience, since scum don’t want to outright put their necks on the line and drive a mislynch, and would rather wait until (it invariably happens) a townie goes after a townie and they can put a somewhat more innocuous vote on them. It may be that you have a completely different dynamic on this board, so if there is just tell me and I’ll retract this, but I can only use what I’ve experienced.
Now, dancecat is good enough to make an early vote as a wolf, but I’m just not seeing how those three statements connect to each other.
Oh, forgot this one in the glossary.
(Which is where I define fakepeek, Zeriel – post #2!)
Needs to be blue imo.
Also:
MykBot = CPHoya
Episkey = JimHalpert
Dancecat = HiFi
Think that’s all.
I thought your post was too villagery, so you must be a wolf ldo.
Mostly irrelevant. Scum are going to have more information than town to start with, increasing their possible information isn’t really a huge advantage to them while it is a gigantic advantage to town to increase the towns information pool.
Then they get caught in a lie and we catch scum. Really that’s part of what I see as the upside to the plan. Force the scum to lie early and often, it provides them with the most opportunities to lynch themselves.
Sorry, but fuck seer cover and fakepeeking. Town playing those kinds of manipulative games with themselves makes life harder not easier on them.
You are wrong. You are probably town, but that doesn’t make you not wrong.
Yeah, fancy play syndrome is where a villager (or a wolf, but more commonly a villager) will take a very different line to try to bait the wolves.
I.e
If someone is the seer, and they go “I AM THE SEER. I peeked atakdog villager, bsball villager and Zurvan wolf”
Then they wait for reactions from Zurvan (“WTF NO IM A VILLAGER YOU WOLF”)
then they go. “JUST KIDDING. I am the seer, I peeked atakdog villager, bsball villager and TimeLady villager”
The plan being that Zurvan would react strongly from being peeked wolf if he was a villager, and potentially would just give up and lolcat if he was a wolf (on the other board if you are a peeked wolf you tend to just post many lolcats). It’s basically like getting an extra peek for free, if you can read the reaction correctly, but it is not a standard play.
I personally don’t do it, I only FPS if I need to win as a wolf (like claiming seer, or whatever), but that’s totally different.
