no it’s just a different format. naf, a little help here.
it’s primarily a pm driven game where alliances are formed in private but you don’t really know if you can trust the folks that you are in alliance with because they could be primarily allied elsewhere. it was played over on idle’s board. probably just read the thread about clans. most of the game play really went on behind the scenes rather than in the actual game thread.
Malazan was a game on the board Idlemafia that was carried out almost entirely through Private Messages and involved a whole lot of different factions with players switching teams and just generally being sneaky.
Gad, signatures can’t do url tags but if you could put the post number of Dawn and Dusk posts in your sig, that would be a great help.
I know I prefer it if each Dawn and Dusk is titled with something like “Dawn of Day #” so that once I know the format, I can just ctrl+f a thread to find those posts but don’t feel like you have to do it just for me.
I got a PM from well named going AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA like a million times, but no ranting PMs. I think everyone realised it was just a game mechanic and I didn’t do it to spite anyone specifically
Since we all have players we play with a bit we often “shorten” their names. Some are obvious some are not.
May I suggest we all try to remember to be sure we are understood?
I know when I was reading on the POG boards I had my head on sideways a few times tryin g to figure out who/what they were talking about. ( bet that knife cuts both ways)
For the guys in this game from the 2p2 board it shouldn’t be a problem. Half of them here are using different names (so if the 2p2 guys refer to them, I’d prefer they use both names, but at least don’t use the 2p2 name only). Timelady might be referred to as TL, and I might be referred to as CQ, but silman is silman and krayz is… dead, lol.
Of the different namers, we have mykbot (CPhoya, or hoya), episkey (jimhalpert, or jim), and dancecat (hifi, or “always randed wolf” :p)
I think most are obvious, with something like NAF, peeker, or for you maybe LF or Light. For me, some might say Blaster or BM, but I find BlaM both more interesting and, for those who were there for it, quite amusing as well. Bah, I can’t even remember which game it was, but I’m fairly certain it was on Idle’s board.
