Turbo Data is FUN.
I did a statistical analysis of the 274 turbos run in 2010, and found that overall village won (about) 75% of the time and scum 25%.
The % for wolf wins drastically reduced when wolf teams didn’t kill the seer n1.
It’s very unbalanced, but it’s damn fun, and a completely different style of play that relies mostly on tone reads rather than data.
Yeah that’s pretty much it.
This is all very interesting. I’m glad you all came over here to play. You’ll have to come over to the Giraffe Boards and play a game or two (although they might be painfully slow for you).
Hey Gad, would it be possible for you to put links to the beginning of each Day/Night in your sig for the duration of the game? I’ve seen it done here before, and it was very very helpful, given that there’s only the one game thread.

I know it sounds dickish, but I had a LOT of PMs from that game from everyone at various points, and yours may have got lost in the shuffle
I really did appreciate the poem, fyi. That sort of thing makes me very happy
yeah for sure I can imagine that happening. Was stupid of me to assume you were not getting a ton of pm’s similar to mine.
Out of curiosity, was there any pm that was just A+ rant worthy?

I’m astonished it’s that different. I feels much closer

Mine just had a row of sad faces.

Testing out the signature.
Hmm. Where do I go to enable my signature?
wonder how this crowd would fare in malazan?
that could prove to be epic. of course it would probably crash the message server on idle ’s board.
When you reply to a post, check “enable signature”. If you “go advanced” or edit after that, you’ll have to check it again.

You know, that isn’t a horrible idea.
If they like us enough maybe we invite them to play in the next iteration of Malazan.
episkey:
i generally try to investigate from the neutral type people.
If you line up all the players left in the game in a list from most townie to most scummy:
Lock town
lock town
lock town
probably town
probably town
no clue
no clue
no clue
no clue
possibly scummy
possibly scummy
lock scum
lock sum
the scummy people are the ones most likely to resolve themselves since they will be wagoned in the next few days. You don’t want to waste investigations by having them on dead people, and you don’t want to find out someone “probably scum” is actually a townie as force yourself to claim to prevent a mislynch.
The lock town members are most likely to be nk’d by scum, so you don’t want to peek them either.
But if you pick from the no clue section, you find out important info on their role and interactions with people and have an investigation that should be useful into the end game.
strongly agree with this post
To answer your first question, yes. To answer your second question, sometimes.
Yes I thought it was weird when people were talking at night as well. This is another world of WW for sure.

well we could invite them anyways. we probably could infer whether they like us or not by whether they show up or not.

Malazan is a different game. It’s mafia inspired, but it isn’t mafia. It was invented by four of us who play here and is sort of mafia meets diplomacy with some other stuff thrown in. The color is based on the fantasy series Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson.
It’s a game where you make your own teams as the game goes on. Very fluid and with a lot of off board communications.
