I think I understand **Askthepizzaguy’s **reasoning on why he claimed “probably Vig”. I don’t think I would have done the same in his position, but I think I get why he did. He has painted a target on his back (assuming he’s Town), but that doesn’t guarantee he’ll be Scum-bait Tonight. If we have a Watcher, then he would be a prime target for Tonight. (In my experience here, a Watcher will see any and all players who ‘visit’ their target on the given Night.) The Scum also might leave him alone for the simple fact that he is more likely to hit Town than Scum at this point. And that would be fine with me. It’s a risk for Town certainly, because it could lead to additional Town deaths, but it is a second Town kill, so I think the risk is acceptable for the time being.

What this means immediately to us, is that pizzaguy may be able to use his vig before he is killed (given he is indeed the vig and the wolves are indeed going to nightkill him). The vig shot might be processed before the wolf nightkill. Vig’s/NK’s are processed last but we don’t know for sure if the vig’s are processed before the nightkill.

Should happen simultaneously. There’s no in-game difference between a vig and a murder, usually.

This is of course discounting that guiri himself was the village vig. I would suspect there would be more than one townie vigilante in this format though.

I think it would be good if you explained to us what the POG expectations would be for this game. I wasn’t expecting more than one Vigilante. I don’t think we have ever had more than one Vigilante.

I am far more likely to hit a townie at this point, I would rather eat a murder or a scum roleblock, because that allows our roles who are less double-edged to go about their business.

But even if you go 1 for 3, that is most likely a net positive for Town. In a typical setup (not counting nightkills) a ratio of 1 scum to every 3 town (25%) makes for a reasonable balance where the number of correct lynches needed by Town to win equals the number of mislynches the scum need to win.
Throw in a Vigilante and if that vigilante kills 4 people, 1 scum and 3 town, the net effect is even. Even if the original make up is different (not 25%) the general dynamic is still the same. A Vig who kills 1 scum out of every 4 kills (or less) is doing okay. If it takes more than 4 then the Vig is hurting the Town, but you’ve already got Mahaloth (doubled up, but whatever) so we’re already ahead.
Also, it is my strong belief that vigilantes provide the additional service of eliminating unknowns. By killing off a player under suspicion, you remove the need for town to lynch that player. Whether scum or Town, that is a net positive for Town.
I’m of the opinion that the correct Town move would have been to stay silent.

I think you’re correct that all the wolves would have a secondary action, and they elect one of their own to perform the kill.

I agree with this point of view. Otherwise, roles like tracker, watcher, and role blocker are significantly reduced in power.

It’s a bit ambiguous on this point.
Typically we use verbiage like ‘You get a team night kill every night and must select one member to perform the action,’ which isn’t there.

The wolves collectively decide on a player to nightkill and someone from the wolf team pm’s the mod who the nightkill is. A wolf making his own independent kills by his own decision would just be a night wolf vigilante. I don’t think those are common at all though, can’t think of a game where I can remember that role.

One wolf will just pm the mod who the nightkill is. I suspect that if pizzaguy is tracked by a villager, and the wolves night kill him, that the tracker will get “no result” or something along those lines. The night kill is probably processed before the night actions anyways, but I’m not positive about that.

If this is how things a typically done on the other board, then cracked quads is probably correct.

Posts 824, 831, and 833 were all made within hours of Day’s end. And one of which was to you. So your argument seems like nothing but a thinly veiled excuse for your continued OMGUS vote.

I get OMGUS because you have gone apeshit on me ever since I put that vote down on you. The stated reasons for your initial vote on me were ostensibly straightforward scum-hunting (but which I personally found off based on my past experience with you), but your follow-up passion has not been based on any concrete arguments that I can see besides outrage that I could possibly think you were scum and vote for you. Put yourself in a Town player’s shoes: why would you expect someone to give a player pass for something they find scummy? A Town peeker would go apeshit about that, not about putting down a vote.
