I think I’ll clarify my very minimal vote post earlier in the day, in the hope of getting some traction from people who agree with my case.
First of all, for you 2+2 folks, I’m Zeriel, and I find scum with vote timing analysis (Hi, Zeriel!). Fortunately, a scum died early in the game, which means I can start plying my trade sooner than is typical.
So we know **Mahaloth **is scum, and we know **Krayz **was town, and we know nothing about **Texcat **or peekercpa. That sums up our late-day lynch prospects.
Starting around post 500, we don’t have any real momentum on anyone in the game. **peeker **and **Krayz **have three votes, **Texcat **has two votes, lots of others have one.
Then Silver Jan gets a vote from Dancecat, bringing her to two. WITHIN AN HOUR, our only known scum bitches about how hard it is to keep up with the game and pops a unsupported vote on **Krayz **to put him in a comfortable lead.
Based on this, I think Silver Jan is provisionally more likely to be scum. peeker is provisionally more likely to be town. Giraffe, Timelady, TexCat, and Dancecat (the folks with two votes at that time) are some small amount leaning town.
so it really doesn’t make sense to you? honest question.

Sorry yes, I got names confused last night about the notice from **Gadarene **so my point about **peekercpa **doesn’t make any sense. They’re both new players/names to me, and I just had a complete brain fart while writing that post.
This might confirm **peeker’s **power to himself, but it’s not going to do much for the rest of us. If he doesn’t post at all Tomorrow, is it because he is a Town Silencer who self-targeted, or is it because he’s a Scumbag who decided to take the Day off?
Why would you claim vig? I understand you’re not sure if you are, but isn’t this still giving away info to the wolves kind of unnecessarily? It seems like you’re making yourself, a potentially valuable villager, an attractive target for the wolves.
Also, I’m a little confused now about how poison works and what happened to **Mahaloth **yesterday. It says he was poisoned and shot, then died. At first I thought poisoned and shot meant that a vig targeted him and killed him. Are we to believe the poisoning and the shooting are two separate night actions? I’ve never played a WW game with poison in it so I’m not sure how that works.
I was just joking about how much peeker is posting. The first post says that there are no powers that do not pertain directly to night actions (no godfathers, no millers, no double voters) so I don’t think he can be a post silencer.

First of all, it’s the weekend, it’s possible he is busy, I’d be more inclined to believe you if he fails to post at all.
Second, FTR, a silence ability sounds much more like a scum power than a town power. I just don’t see how preventing someone from talking can possibly benefit the town at all, but it can definitely benefit scum. It may or may not exist in the game, but if it does I’d be surprised if scum had it.
Third, even if he is silenced, there’s no guarantee that you were the only one that targeted him. At this point, there could be other factors at play that are impossible to predict.
That said, if you think you do have a silence ability, the only pro-town way I can imagine to use it would be to maybe silence someone you think is scummy so they don’t drown out conversation; hell, if you can silence, it may even prevent them from voting.

If “lazy” means devoting inadequate time to the game, I’ll plead guilty. I’m spending about two hours a day on this game but that’s not enough.
I’m retired with relatively few distractions, and I really wonder how others, especially those with jobs, can keep up. Going by #posts this game has almost ten times the daily volume of De’endee Mafia. (Admittedly the posts in De’endee are much longer – Hi, Pizza!).

I can’t even blame peeker, there’s a lot of crosstalk and a lot of talkers in this one. Just ask for tallies and summaries, vote whoever, and hold your in-depth play for when there’s a few less of us.
ben is going to throw a clot when he does get back (i think he mentioned that he wouldn’t be around this weekend). and i don’t have any problems with the votes on him because he is a close second for me. and if it comes down to him and some yet to be known other person i would definitely move my vote (see i am trainable still). and i agree with pizza. septimus don’t leave. yesterday was that weird confluence of events where i actually at home and on the 'puter most of the day so what else am i going to do? plus during the week i don’t have nearly as much time to actually engage so i figured i’d just get it all out there. but i would ask weedy, why do you not think that what i think i am can not be so? a “silencer” does seem to be a Night action (i think i ran across one the last time i found a hen’s tooth). and i also kind of agree with BlaM that it is kind of an anti town power unless it has the added value of not allowing the person to vote. but it’s better than me being a vig. i could just silence lurkers and it wouldn’t be so bad. and i would hate like heck for it to be so but to prove it i guess i’d have to aim at a volume poster. and since i am one of those and probably need a break i could aim at myself toNight and see what happens. as burby points out that probably doesn’t prove jack except to myself. but if in fact it does at least it will give you other fine folks unfettered participation. then if/when i get back the next Day i guess we can deal with that then. crap this role, if it is what i think it is, feels like the durn miller/doctor role that story gave me. that was all six sides of messed up.
You silence people at night, but it affects their actions during the day. The same as a double voter would, and that was said to be not in the game. I dunno, I could be wrong. I think if you want to test it, you should target yourself, because then you would know if you are allowed to post or not. Worry about proving it to everyone else after that. Although if you are being voted, you don’t want to take away your ability to defend yourself.
Given it’s the weekend, and it seems to be pretty quiet, I think there is a good chance we will yet see Mykbot post Today, which will render the question moot.
If someone can’t post I don’t see how they can vote, which would give the power some use, but like I said, I don’t think this game would have that power. See if Mykbot turns up.
