So you think I am not a bad townie, and instead you think I am scum. Hmmm. I agree that townies often propose bad ideas, but I still think that Mykbot should have known better. If he is scum, why not take a shot at getting the vig’s to kill themselves? You could always fall back like Mykbot did, and say he was primarily talking about night 0. And I agree that just because you don’t like something, doesn’t mean that it is scummy. You say that you don’t like my vote from Yesterday, but you didn’t say when you voted, and you have yet to say, why you think it was scummy.
Guiri did say he was suspicious of Mahaloth, so it seems likely to me that he targeted him. I don’t see why ATPG (askthepizzaguy) thinks that he is the vig, except that he would like to be, but it will be interesting to see what the effects of the claim will be. My instinct is to keep my cards close to my chest, but I like everyone else piping up because it gives me more hints to puzzle over. There is a bit of a contradiction there, I know.
Because I really really really dislike people using Bad Ideas as voting rationales. And I think it’s scummy because again, voting people for having ideas reduces discussion which on a general level is bad.
At least if you’re going to vote for me for my vote, at least represent it correctly. My case against Ben is a lot more than that:
- It’s likely the Krayz’s wagon was built to save scum, he was on that wagon third.
- He unvoted once the wagon was in the lead.
- He subsequently said that he didn’t find Krayz (or peeker) to be scummy.
- Other votes started coming onto the top vote getters and he revoted for Krayz.
I will quote the specific posts when I finish catching up. But at least do your homework next time and represent my case correctly.
As for Silver Jan, I believed she was the scummiest of the top vote-getters Yesterday, but I’d already made it clear I would have voted for Ben if I thought I’d have had time to convince others.

Okay, here’s a better laid out case against Scuba_Ben with links to the specific posts that raised my suspicion.
First of note is that he voted for peeker as the fourth vote, another wagon.
His vote for peeker is for not seeing an inconsistency that peeker pointed out. In fact, see for yourself:
Giraffe says in one post that scum typically follow the action but stay quieter than usual, then in the second quote says that he’d expect scum to post a lot. It may or may not be a scummy inconsistency, but it is an inconsistency and it’s a bad reason to vote for peeker.
It looks like he wants to jump on the peeker wagon there but doesn’t want to rely on the reasoning already given. As scum in the past, knowing that “me too” votes look bad, I would often try to find other reasons to vote for someone, even if poorly thought out, because it looks like I wasn’t just throwing in a me too vote, even though I was.
Then comes the Krayz voting, unvoting, and revoting:
Here he votes for Krayz for smudging, one of those smudges being against him. The crux seems to be that he’s upset at Krayz for smudging people for voting for peeker. Not particularly scummy, but weird that he’s essentially defending peeker when his vote was on him.
Here he unvotes Krayz and votes SubPlank. He admits that it’s sort of a weak vote (“Good enough reason”) and yet his vote is for SubPlank having a weak vote on TimeLady for having a weak vote. Huh?
Here he says he’s leaning away from Krayz and peeker and that nothing strikes him as scummy or townie. Not so bad by itself, he’s allowed to change his mind. He also comments on several other posters which could prove lucid if he flips scum.
And this is the lynch pin. He goes back and revotes for him for smudging, which is exactly what he had voted for him before, then later cleared him of. Then tops it off with a non-commital “I’m willing to be persuaded”.
The point here is that no individual post is necessarily scummy, though some are baffling. The point here isn’t that he’s flip-flopping, but that his logic FOR flip-flopping is internally inconsistent. Inconsistency is often a sign of scum trying to justify his vote. This is, IMO, the scummiest pattern of behavior and, unless I missed it, he hasn’t given any sort of explanation for it at all.
In fact, all of this behavior is very well explained as scum. First, he votes for peeker as he sees the wagon trending. If peeker is town, it’s an easy townie lynch and he can shrug most of the heat on the earlier voters. If peeker is scum, he gains some credit for being on the wagon and not just a me too vote. That’s win/win for a scummy Ben.
A bit later Krayz and TexCat get some votes in short order and he swaps his vote to Krayz quickly as well. The peeker wagon starts to slow a bit and he jumps off of Krayz probably hoping not to be on a townie lynch. Later, votes start popping up quickly on TexCat and Silver Jan and he swaps back to Krayz. I strongly suspect that one or both of those two is scum and he forgot that he’d cleared Krayz and peeker and jumped back on the wagon to save them. There simply isn’t a townie reason I can think over for that behavior, but there’s a pretty clear cut scummy reason for it.
Can I get a person (or 2 or 3) to give me a synopsis of this day so far?
