crackedquads definitely doesn’t need me to defend him. That being said, if you think the board he frequents (and thrives in) is all sunshine and niceness I suggest you go over there to take a look for yourself. The difference primarily being that people tend to spar about the game, but by and large (with some unfortunate exceptions) respect each other as players and don’t go in for personal flaming. Your exchanges here have toed the line, peeker. Your stuff about MykBot was, frankly, ridiculous, and if I’d been at my computer at that point I’d have issued you an in-game warning before the board mods did it themselves.
I wish you’d focus on the game itself. It’s a fun game. It’s a fun setup. Have fun figuring it out. And maybe stop going after posters personally, even if you’re just joking around or trying to get a rise out of people.
And STOP THIS. Stop slagging on people here by intimating that games elsewhere are somehow better or more hardcore. Games elsewhere are different. That is all they are.
If long Days lead to this much chatter about non-game-related stuff, I’m seriously considering shortening them up just so we can start reducing the numbers more quickly and people don’t feel as overwhelmed by the volume. I realize this is somewhat counter-productive, as faster Days will no doubt also lead people to feel overwhelmed, but frankly it’s frustrating that we seem to be experiencing the worst of both worlds right now – lots of posts at a fairly high volume (for this board), but not a lot of engagement in the setup itself.
Damn, a lot of posting has gone on this weekend. And I have to say that **peeker **has got a huge noise-to-post ratio right now and it’s really annoying. I’m not sure if it’s scummy but considering the number of players complaining about the pace of this game, I wouldn’t put it past the scum to spam up the thread in hopes of scaring off townies who are actually trying to keep up. Yes, that was a smudge. I’m also putting that out there in the hopes that peeker will include more substance in his posts.
I’m inclined to believe Scuba Ben at this point because in addition to his claim, I’ve been watching the bandwagon build on him without much competition. That makes me think he’s probably town.
I know that I need to place a vote and I’d like to do it earlier rather than later. I don’t know that I’ll be able to actually re-read all 33 pages at this point but I’ll do what I can to make an informed vote.
