Also, I think it’s time that we hear everything Jan knows that won’t get the mod pissed at her.
And with that sentence that took sixteen tries to type, I’m out for the night.

You may be right, I may be crazy, but it just may be a luuuuuuuuunatic you’re lookin’ for.
What if Weedy and TexCat are both scum?
Walk me through this, TexCat’s response just made my blood boil. I need to be carefully escorted through the logic that makes her innocent, because my nose is tingling and my fangs are bared. I’m going to bite if we can’t clear her within the next 2 rounds.
Look, I know challenging the mason claim makes me look scummy. Have the poisoner target me, don’t care.
Just… talk… me… through… this.
If we can write ANYONE off as townie, then we have a 1 in 3 chance of lynching scum today, and I wanna be on that wagon.
If we can’t write them off then I am going with my instinct and going after the crazy mason claim.
Sorry about the kerfuffle. I did think a few minutes before claiming, but thought that claiming was absolutely pro-town. The kerfuffle I am going to blame on Gad and mostly on MHaye.
But you can’t assume that the result you received was true just because you are town.
Look, if you think Texcat is scum, then you’ve got to believe gnarlycharlie is scum..and probably even Weedy since he got the most specific result. You said so yourself that one of them would have to come from the ACTUAL COP, right? Well, I’d think–if any–the most specific result would be from the real cop.
I don’t buy it. I don’t buy that three scum would risk their game with one play. I was ready to vote for gnarly when it was just the two of them against Jan’s word…but three? No way.
And I can’t see it coming from you either, especially when you were just saying WE SHOULD ALL GO BACK TO WHO WE WERE VOTING FOR only a few posts ago.
What changed between then and now? :dubious:
No, I know that. My point was for Pizzaguy, who said that one of the people claiming having gotten a result was scum (at least I THINK he said that…at this point I’m almost lost, pretty much).
I think I just showed that the result on gnarlycharlie had to come from the paranoid cop (always guilty) which means it’s a 95% tell he’s innocent.
I think I just showed that the other 4 have a 25% chance of being guilty.
And no, the odd claim out is going to be scum.
The sane cop is obviously sane if he’s the only one getting useful data. That means there’s no challenge! No challenge means game isn’t balanced. That means the odd claim out came from a scumbag.
The sane cop’s results MUST LOOK IDENTICAL to the other 3 cops. The scumbag messed this one up by saying TexCat was a mason, giving too much info.
I think I just proved TexCat is guilty.
How do you know
a) that someone targeted gnarlycharlie?
b) the person that targeted him was not an investigative role?
According to you, **gnarlycharlie **targeted *you *last Night, so his power must be “finding other Masons”. That means he couldn’t have gotten this information from his own ability. Did you target *him *to learn this? Or did this information come from somwhere else?
Wait, no…
the Scum cop could also be sane, and just cleared TexCat for us.
She’s either guilty or she’s a mason. I concede that point. But I think the odds are better that the odd claim out came from the mafia scum, and since it’s on TexCat, I feel the results are a lie.
I don’t like TexCat’s reactions. I think she’s scum.
Lynching TexCat gives us maximum information. I recommend it.
You’re going to find the guilty within 1-2 rounds regardless, and if it’s TexCat, I just saved you the trouble.
Trading one mason for one scumbag is worth it, and I have reasons to doubt TexCat.
Bold/Underline mine
And tell me again how anyone would know how to use this power? :dubious:
How would anyone–scum or not–be able to give out a specific result different from the rest?
You’re talking like they actually had control of it.
The rules are pretty clear, a name is submitted for a target and that’s it.
Not to mention, how would one even know they HAD this power?
Sorry, Pizzaguy, I’m not buying it. You seem like you’re really trying to reach.
At some point Gnarly is going to show up and confirm that we are masons. So either we are both scum or neither scum, Pizza.
a and b) Charlie shared his PM info with me. He received a PM last night that indicated someone had targeted him.
I did not target Charlie last night.
I’m sorry if you’ve already covered this but I think I missed it (that seems to be my common refrain toDay) but how do you know that someone targeted **gnarly **last Night and it was not an investigative role?
Mmmm…
This is a strong point.
I don’t know. But, I do know this: The sane cop’s results should look identical to the naive, paranoid, insane cop.
The odd cop in this whole mix is either a super-cop (some other cop with extra powers) or a scum cop.
I don’t believe that cop at face value. Dethy setup is such that the challenge is in not being able to tell which cop to trust.
If you know which cop to trust, there’s zero challenge.
As such, I think that cop is a lie. Maybe the results are correct, but they always favor the scumbags. In other words, they clear scumbags and they randomly declare villagers guilty, or something.
Granted that’s a stretch, but we haven’t eliminated all possibilities.
Okay, I’m willing to let go of TexCat, assuming NOBODY assumes that she’s 100% confirmed innocent, because none of that makes sense to me.
The 5 cop setup includes a scumbag. The odd claim out had to come from a scumbag in my view, or we have 6 cops and there’s still someone who hasn’t claimed their oracle information.
So before we get ahead of ourselves, has anyone got any oracle info they haven’t claimed?
It could be the Dethy 5-cop setup plus a super cop that’s actually more useful.
I know what I look like.
Give me the benefit of the doubt for now. Assume I’m innocent for the sake of argument.
Deduction only works through exhausting all possibilities. We can make a big error if we don’t fully explore shit. That’s why I’m trying to get people to think because I cannot solve this myself, I’ve done that schtick before and it doesn’t work.
Just think, that’s all I’m saying.
You won’t lynch TexCat on my recommendation, okay, let’s look at the cases against Silver, Blaster, and Dancecat. I’ll gather up their voting history.
No matter what I am, scum or town (I’m town) that info is useful. Spare me the suspicion until after I’ve done my job as a townie.
And the PM said it was not an investigator?
I’m not going into the whole Sane/Insane/Naive/Etc. Cop thing right at the moment, but the claim that stands out as ‘odd’ is actually Weedy’s.
Idle Thoughts (1120): “DanceCat is a Villager, apparently”
**Scuba_Ben **(1569): “Silver Jan is a Villager.”
Silver Jan (1716): “Gnarlycharlie is a WOLF!”
**Weedy **(1812): “I got a message in the night that Texcat was a mason, and town.”
**Giraffe **(1820): “I got a message during the night that Blaster Master is a Villager.”
**Weedy **received Alignment and Role, while the others received Alignment only.
**TexCat’s **claim is altogether different from the rest, as he claims to have been ‘found’ by Weedy, and to have received Mod-confirmation that he and **Weedy **are both Town.
And having hit’Submit’ instead of ‘Preview’, I noticed just a few seconds late that I missed your point entirely. Instead of refuting it, I *think *I just supported it.
Very fair point, and I’d be willing to lynch Weedy as well. That does sound odd.
